So,. I guess Clark the Cub will have to get off somewhere else.

If CTA plays it cards right after being named in the expected soon to be passed federal appropriations bill to receive money for reconstruction of the North Side Main for the Red and Purple Lines, the only TA to get this type of funding in the bill according to the Crain's article that jtrosario quoted in that project's thread, maybe they'll get things to a point eventually where Clark won't have to do so quite so often.

So, how is Baez supposed to get to the ball park?

And how long is this one going to be repeated?

As long as these alerts occur between 5a-10p, they will be logged. If the CTA wants to do this work from now until June, it'll be logged here.

I've explained myself and this thread topic to you numerous times... I'm not posting reasons why anymore... you can look back on page 36 for the guidelines.

Please don't post anymore questioning comments as to why I post alerts here... I gave you the page with the guidelines... I've discussed them numerous times with you and on the forum here for others to view. I've been very lenient about not reporting it as a personal attack on this thread(which it could be considered). This topic was created in December 2010 by me(a little over three years ago) and Kevin hasn't said anything regarding it. Nobody has except you.

You are welcome to post constructive comments about alerts or alerts that are occurring presently on the "L" lines. Calling Medical Alerts "Tasteless" or asking me how long alerts will be posted here is not constructive, but personal attacks on this thread, it's purpose and the guidelines I created for it.

Again, the guidelines are on page 36 for alerts...

Anyone on this forum is invited to post alerts regarding CTA "L" trains on this thread... this is it's purpose... it's not just my thread... it's everyone's on chicagobus.org!!! And alerts can be discussed in a civil matter on here. No harassment of why/how long alerts are being posted, or comments about them being "Tasteless" will be accepted, and will be considered personal attacks on this forum from here on in.

***Weather-Related Alert Announcement***

Rail Line(s) Affected: All Rail Lines

Level Of Service Interruption: Variable Alert Interruptions Likely

Information: With below zero temps likely the next few days, and the issues the "L" system had during the last few rounds of frigid temps, more delays involving frozen switches, door issues and possible mechanical issues of trains may be likely. Alerts varying from Minor, Significant, and Major are likely when/if these issues occur. Allow a little extra travel time the next few days in case these delays occur so you can get to your destination(s) on time...

It helps to have 400 new railcars on hand. CTA's railcars are probably in the best shape they've been in since the 80's. Now if we could say the same about the track conditions...., but maybe things will greatly improve in a few years. They should have a modern O'Hare branch, and be working on a modern north side main including Evanston which needs a complete rebuild, although they are just going to reuse the embankment north of Howard. Then the only weak point is the Forest Pk branch, which will either be in the planning stages or under construction. If they do get the #7000 series, with the rehabbed #3200's, they just might have a modern system. Imagine that!!:P

Patrick Elwood was on WGN (correct) at Midway Yard and had on some supervisor saying that with ice scrapers and lubricating the wheels, there weren't much of any problems at noon, except for something on the Brown Line.
