A Orange Line Shuttle Train will operate between Roosevelt and the Loop Elevated, making stops at the Orange Line platform at Loop 'L' stations to provide connections between the Shuttle Buses and the Loop stations. Red or Green Line trains can also be used between Roosevelt and Downtown. Rail Shuttle Transfers: Free transfer between Shuttle Buses and Rail Service is only available at Halsted and Roosevelt, and requires the farecard you used at the start of your trip. Bridge lifts typically occur late morning to early afternoon on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but may occur on other days and times as requested by the City Of Chicago. When bridge openings are scheduled, service on the Brown, Green and Pink Line service will be impacted. The level of impact depends upon the length of time the bridge is opened. Typically a bridge lift lasts about 5-10 minutes and will usually result in Minor Delays to rail service along affected route(s). If a bridge lift lasts longer than 10 minutes, service could see Significant Delays or Major Delays. During these delays, Alternate Service via nearby Bus Routes will be provided, and Bus Shuttles may also be implemented depending upon length of delay. Alternate Service: Shuttle Buses will replace rail service between Damen and Western(O-Hare Branch). The Bus Shuttle will run between Clark/Lake and Western, making stops at all intermediate rail stations. Passengers requiring an accessible transfer between bus and rail, or with luggage or strollers, or otherwise desire the use of an elevator, should use the Shuttle Bus between Western and Clark/Lake. Free Transfer between Shuttle Buses and rail service is only available at Western, Damen and Clark/Lake, and requires the farecard used to pay your fare at the start of your trip. BusHunter Posted April 30, 2014 Report Share Posted April 30, 2014 Power outage at logan square blue line station service is getting through but the station on the kedzie side is pitch black with just a few emergency lights. They put glow sticks on the escalators and set up a spot light at the end of the platform shining on the stairs.Truck 276 just rolled up with a generator. This is going to be interesting after sunset!! Power has just been restored. 7:32pm alarms are going off probably on the ventra machine.
