TaylorTank1229 Posted June 3 Author Report Posted June 3 So, I was getting off the bus, at Sheridan and Berwyn. And I saw some CTA employees switching out the SB bus sign. Not much is different, though the only thing to notice was the 92. It was displaying “Daily, early morning thru late evening”, as it only ran to late evening on weekday and to mid-evening on weekends. So this definitely tells 92 is getting extended hours for the summer pick 1

Seem that 3, 37, 44, 50, 70, 73, 76, 91, 156 and 206 are slated to get extended service/frequency throughout the coming months of the year. 57 extension to Jefferson Park Blue Line has been green lit for December. Nothing on the other proposed extensions, such as 90 to Forest Park Blue Line, 91 to 54th/Cermak P, 92 to Harlem Blue Line (though maybe they approve that once the bridge at I-90 is completed), or 49B to Howard Red Line. Either those are in still being evaluated and considered for 2027 or wasn’t approved. 1 1

I didn't know why the 90 should be extended to Forest Park Blue Line when that would duplicate the 318 aouth of North Acw. 3.i want to see where they put the 57 at Jefferson Park. Perhaps they move the 68 or 88 to the north terminal and have the 85 share one bay since terminal. it is a thru route through in other words the 57 takes the south terminal bay if the 68 or 88. That route moves to the north terminal taking the 85 Siurhbound bay. Both directions of the 85 could share the current 75 Northbound bay. 4. The 91 extension to 54/Cermak might be for the benefit of CTA bus operators. The residents near the current terminal may like this idea too ironic that the extension provides a transfer to the 54V to Midway AFTER Paxe extended the 315 tTO Midway.
Tcmetro Posted June 4 Report Posted June 4 The idea with the 92 extension to Harlem is to replace the 88. The 88 north of Harlem looks like it could be replaced by an all-day Pace route if I squint at the Revision map that was shared at the Pace board meeting.

But since things like that on that document were not on the RTA list, they won't happen (if at all) until long after NITA takes over. And see what @Tcmetro posted while I was typing. 209 could cover 88 around Canfield. 1

The Foster bridge over the Kennedy is being rebuilt so that probably won't be done until later this year. The 318 ridership has a one seat connection between the warehouses along North Ace and the CTA Green Line and the CTA Blue Line at Forest Park. Curtailing the 318 doesn't seem to make sense. The 303 only covers North Ave between 19th Ave and 25th Ave with a lot of warehouses not being served Extension of the 90 makes no sense when the 318 provides service rgat serves its purpose very well 2

Yes, as the 88 was among one of the proposed routes preferred for elimination.

I never understood the 381 schedules when the 95W/95E was still a thing. Ridership west of the Ryan has always been high for either CTA/PACE. The only thing that would be more beneficial is consistent headways from 92nd/Buffalo to Chicago Ridge. I never understood why 87th gets the nod to go to Cicero in Pace territory so to speak whereas 95th gets short turned to 87th/Damen. 95th is the busiest corridor compared to 79th/87th west of the Dan/Ryan with some of the worst frequencies among the 95/381. Maybe Pulse can help with that. 50 minutes ago, artthouwill said: My question is what is this #1 extension going to look like? Is it going to be a Drexek/Hyde Oarj restoration? Dart is handled by 53 and 53A (recent Pulaski changes).

I held off on saying his at first BUT since the #10 bypasses South Loop, Bronzeville and Motor Row; the extension of the #1 would solve the problem and connect those areas to the Obama center so I the extension of the #10 made me figure #1 extension would handle the local traffic through those areas. Yates service may be to connect the coming development of South Shore to the campus.

Probably, based on the Sep 2009 planned change. 55A and 55N combined into one route not operating south of 59th so avoiding crossing BRC tracks. Route from Midway via 59th, Cicero & 55th to loop via Austin, 59th & Narragansett.

Lake Park may be evenly spaced enough but it's only a one way north of 47th (getting back SB isn't a straight forward answer), plus pretty much is parallel to Cottage between 43rd and 35th. The most you can do is maybe get the bus to 43rd, then go via 43rd, Greenwood, 47th then to Lake Park as far as a consistent medium for both directions. You're right they didn't say anything outside of what was posted but with what's already in the area and the layout; the service that's already in the area should be good enough between the 6, 4, 43, 39. Then there's the sudden urge to keep adding Hyde Park AND SC service on the ME (6 and 26 territory)which up until regional rail became more of a topic we all have said should be cta's business but NITA supports this so some south east restructuring seems to be slowly getting set up if this isn't strictly Obama center.
