jacksone44
What happened to the 1000 New Flyers that was at Archer Garage ? I believe most of them (1000-1060 originals?) are at Chicago Ave Garage and 74th Garage? Can someone confirm this?

They're at Chicago, and before the question comes, I do have "photographic proof" of this. Check out my website if you want to see the proof. I know a couple of months back, Chicago and 74th swapped 1000's for 1995 Flx's and I know that 74th got some of the early 1000's but wasn't sure if it was any of the ones that started at Archer. Originally 1082-1121 went to 74th for 40 Flx 6000s from 74th. 1082-1086 (or possibly 1087) went back to Chicago to replace retired 5300s when 74th got 1725-1730 from Kedzie. I remember there was a post about it on the forum shortly after 1725-1730 got swapped. I just don't remember if it was 5 or 6 NFs that went back to Chicago when 74th got the additional 6 from Kedzie. Originally (Jan 2008) ALL of Archer's went to Chicago. Then, around Sept. 2008, 40 went from C to 74 (also 40 from K). Then, as reported a couple of months ago, some of K's went to 74, C got some of its back, and now its being reported that K is getting some of 103rd's. Chicago's got up to 1087 since I've seen it do #20 on the BusTracker a couple of days ago (I think it was Thursday).

It looks like Kedzie may also be some from 77th as well. I just reported in the January bus swap thread that I spotted 1226 on the 12 Roosevelt this morning. sw4400
1010 and 1032 have been floating around North Park Extras??? Why are these at NP? Did we give up some of ours(1400-1900 odds)?
santran
I also noticed 2 Flexibles today at North Park. They had K in the window and one of the dest. sign said North Park Garage. One was going out on the 93.
jacksone44
Extras??? Why are these at NP? Did we give up some of ours(1400-1900 odds)? along with 1175. Saw it on the 36 twice in 2 days.
BusHunter
Extras??? Why are these at NP? Did we give up some of ours(1400-1900 odds)? Np has just lost #1909 and #1907. And they also lost #1433 to Chicago. But they got #1432, #1010, #1016, #1032, #1175, #6010, #6027, #6030 in return. As well as all these #4000's. How's that for logic?

They should have not stopped the NP/103 swap until about 1935...

qwantae
Extras??? Why are these at NP? Did we give up some of ours(1400-1900 odds)? I thought that NP was planned on getting some Novas. It would been a better idea if NP swap some of their 1st batch of 1000s to Archer and Archer swap their former Chicago Novas (6600s) to NP, then rest of last orders of 1000s to FG. That would be in my wildest dreams if Archer got back New Flyers! Besides, it wouldn't hurt for Forest Glen to grab some of those Flyers, so every garage can have a few. But with the current consolidation plan CTA has long implemented since last year, these 2 garages probably won't see any new equipment for another 7 - 8 years, when the Novas are due to be gone. Even #6552 has left NP. It's back at Fg, it was on the #77 the other day. I think the bus was at NP no more than 3 weeks.
