artthouwill Posted February 7, 2015 Report Posted February 7, 2015 Orange line seems to be experiencing delays. Had a train pass express at ashland with at least 3 blue lights!! Looked like that train was messed up. So the follower picks us up at Ashland and goes express to kedzie. As it passed 35th/archer and western, stacks of people were waiting sb. I believe they ran back to back express' which I might have only seen one time before and I can't say that I've seen that many express' on the Orange line either. BTW the train with the blue lights was a #2600. I hear they don't run so good in the bad weather. Problems with doors etc. I wonder if it's against policy to have 2 straight trains skip the same stop cause that's something you don't see that much. I remember hearing something to the effect that there was single tracking somewhere between Kedzie and Pulaski due to a track issue. This is what caused the delays. Quote

Honestly I am in favor of running shuttle trains between Cottage and Garfield during off peak times and during those times run all trains between Harlem and Ashland/63. Not that there is great passenger demand on either branch but more so a demand on Ashland than Cottage.. A two car shuttle works just fine 1 Quote

MTRSP1900-CTA3200 Posted February 27, 2015 Report Posted February 27, 2015 On Sunday, March 1, the Brown Line will run through the State St. subway and end at Roosevelt. There will be a Loop Shuttle Train running counter-clockwise in the Loop, and a shuttle bus that stops near the normal Brown Line stops.
