Too early to tell but it seems likely Maybe the 3200s return to the Brown Line as the remaining 2600s on Brown Line either get retired or sent to the Orange Line to entire their 2600s. Then CTA can equip the Orange Line with 7000s and eventually the Brown Line. Or vice versa Or simultaneously. Or CTA could go in a completely different direction and put the new cars on the Red Line

Now, if we got 14 cars/month...

How do you know if the time table of the 2600s have 18-30 months. They could be around for another 4 more years or so before calling in official retirement… Whatever other delays of the delivery of the 7000s will add any additional time for the 2600s. Correct me if I’m wrong to finish his misinterpretation.

He basically said that the ridership on the West side of Chicago deserved the same level of service as those on the NW Side. Either he knows or someone told him that the frequency of service on the O'Hare branch is better than the frequency of service on the Forest Park branch. We know that he doesn't understand (or care) that the O'Hare branch has much higher ridership than the Forest Park branch. At least Westsiders have 3 lines to choose from, which is 2 more than the majority of NW siders have to choose from . Many Westside can choose Pink or Blue or Green and Blue. Not so for O'Hare branch riders. But he is playing to his home base.

NovaBusFan
So late last night on the Dan Ryan, I have spotted two sets of 5000s laying in the yard with headlights off at the head car of both trains, however the yellow brake lights on the sides of the trains where on as well as the taillights and the end of both trains. Does anyone know how the operators do this? Is this newly recent?
