Coming of the Dan Ryan exit towards 75th when I was on my way back home. #1103 was involved in some sort of incident. There were expressway tow trucks, CPD units and CFD trucks at the scene must have been a shooting.

there was a crash 1103 was just stuck in traffic

What happened with 1125 & 1228 still out from that crash with that burban the for hydrant & the tree on Halsted years ago?

#1125 was involved in a accident back in the summer of 2020 and just like #1228 vanished from the boneyard and SS. I've looked all over the place for those buses to no avail.

#6127 was retired back in 2014. They kept that bus running for a while after fresh moves went bankrupt but after being inside the bus If CTA really wanted to bring life back to it they'll need a boat load of money.

I forgot what year but didn't some come out of retirement briefly to serve as cooling buses one summer?

Well well well, today was a bit interesting since it is nice outside, #1419 has some sort of issues going on with it with wrecker #210 leaving the scene, #4318 was spotted going around the boneyard twice maybe looking for a spot to sit defunct while awaiting maintenance for a couple weeks to months on the sideline?. #1295 is out in the sun maybe training some new drivers. And while I parked my car for a little bit I have seen #255 sitting on the side parked.

Being down for maintenance for almost a year without being moved while other buses have come and gone raises question for retirement.

Yeah at this point if CTA really wanted to save all of these old buses they would have made an effort to a long ago while they were active. It sucks that they preserved 8499 and that 3700 but after seeing them add #6472 to the historical fleet and not #5858 or even considering #6163 is a head scratcher for me.
