Spotted #8919 on #22 earlier this evening. Who would’ve thought an 8900 would be at North Park? We’re down to #8894, #8900, and #8931 yet to be in service.

8939 entered service from North Park

all of them are at south shops besides 8939 which is obviously at NP, all the novas i listed were previously mentioned that they were at random garages for training operators on a software update on clever devices and none of them had fareboxes or ventra readers installed, expect these novas to enter service by the end of the month and other garages.

Per BusWatch, it had them entered service during the late summer.

i understand but what i’m tryna say is all those buses i listed are back at SS awaiting farebox installation and ventra readers, also the ones you listed on this reply were used as training buses and were logged into live runs a few times which made them pop up on bus watch and tracker…..here’s a pic taken last week of 8896 back at SS in front of it sits 8914 and behind is 8925

Hmmm, I see. Yeah, I just noticed how some of them were programmed with only one route except for #8925 when it was programmed with two routes out of 74th. That's quite interesting. My question is, were there a ton of bus operators trying to qualify that lead to the current training of these buses or did something came up with them being delayed from becoming used for revenue service? I'm a little bit thrown off with the timing of them yet to be in revenue service.

yes, operators got trained on a new software on the clever device which took almost 2 months to complete.

8931 has entered service at 77th currently on the 1

8894 and 8900 and 8914 have yet to enter service.

8896 debuted at 74th this afternoon.

Along with 8931, 8925 and 8932 has entered service at 77th today.

8947 is still with 77th and entered official service today.

Yes. The bulk of the Clever Devices training buses went to 77th, while 8914 (along with 8896) are now 74th’s, and 8939 at NP. This meant that 8947 is the only training bus which remains at its original training assigned garage.

However, 8928 has not been seen on the tracker since October even though it is still at 77th.

8928 has been in this area in the boneyard which is basically 77th’s trouble track but those buses normally get back on the road in weeks.
