garmon757
Well as of now we at least got a couple 1980's and 1993. Like 1984 shows up on number 3 so maybe we got 1982-199X, ill wait to see more before making another guess. So far, 77th have #1982-94. BusHunter
Kedzie also got 4196 as it's on the #10 right now. 4177, 4183, 4187 and 4184 all showing up on the 6. Looks like BusHunter's going to have a bit of fun with updating his rosters this weekend, including correcting that 4196-4207 did not make their way to North Park but appear to have made their way to Kedzie. Ha Ha!! Yeah, I got the report of them on the Dan Ryan and before I went to sleep put them up at NP as that's where they looked like they were headed, but I did think in the back of my mind well Roosevelt (the reported Ryan sighting) is south of the Ike. Looks like the #1540's from NP went to 77th too as #1540 is on the #3 or #4. 103rd looks like they have the #4177- #4195 artics. But what's weird is if C purged about 14 #1980's and 90's what did they get. And don't say more #6400's

BusHunter
Updated the roster for now. What I'm noticing as strange is there are no #4300 hybrid artics on any Kedzie routes and with that one #4321 on the #22 makes me wonder if Kedzie has lost those artics to NP? sw4400
Looks like "gimme gimme 77th" has gotten more New Flyers in and also another 7900. They are just getting it all, aren't they?

In 77th defense they did just lose 31 artics. So I would agree with you if they lost nothing and gained more, BUT the fall picks calls for more busses on 77th roster so Chicago gave some up. . HEY, #4397 IS ON #36 RIGHT NOW!!! #1546 and #1548 are from 74th, and #1901 is from NP. And unless if there's some event going on, a non-hybrid 4300 operating a NP route isn't surprise to me. ajm522
I honestly hope that they aren't sending busses out of order. I think because the summer pick is still in effect, they might have only transferred what was ready then and left others until tonight.. Maybe some busses were still needed until tomorrow's changes. Like I don't know why C sent 77th 1984,1986,1987,1993 before even sending 1974 which is the last hold out in 77th sequence. (77th has 1970-72,1973-1979 but not 1974). So maybe that bus will make its way down tonight or tomorrow.

Probably the real challenge is to find any NF still where it was originally assigned (maybe some 1600s at K and the 1730s at 74). There still supposedly is the goal that the rehab process isn't supposed to interfere with garage operations. The real issue (at least implied by some of Andre's posts) is whether the supervisors at 77th have the power to dictate bus allocations, to the detriment of the other 6 garages. Maybe someone noticed how the 6400's were affecting service on 77th routes, especially the number 3 and 4 (which are powerhouse), it was taking operators FOREVER to get down the street and that was affecting the operators. I am not saying that it is a reason to purge all 6400's, but I honestly don't think they did that just to do it.
BusHunter
Well buses are terrible on the nw side. I'm waiting for 35 minute service right now on #77. You know that's not the only time either. Last week there was no #90 for 50 minutes. I ended up walking about 3 miles no bus. And then they wonder why they have had 18 months of bus ridership decline straight!!
sw4400
We're still trying to figure what Chicago got out of all this switching. Lol Jack..... 'nuff said. They are getting jack from 77th for this "switching" which is really taking. They have 12 Novas at their disposal, more are showing up now and are starting to enter service(7932 has been cleared for service and is active now), so they're getting a brand new fleet over time. They have enough buses to run until they get enough Novas in to replace the lost artics. They just need to continue to have the "Gimme Gimme" attitude. Case in point... "I don't like the 6400's, but FG has about 47-55 New Flyers and I can take some from 74th and trade away these buses.... Gimme Gimme!!!" They have 103 rehabbed New Flyers on their roster, which is the most of any garage. They have a new fleet basically now, Novas aside. I hope karma bites this garage on it's behind soon and they have to say goodbye to the 7900's they are getting/currently have to FG, 74th, C, anywhere!!! yeah they are taking the best of Chicago garage now. They're taking the best of every garage, BusHunter.

Not to worry SW4400, Fg will get their castaway buses eventually they always have before. #5500's-#5600's 77th to FG, #4806 - #4713, #4873 - #4850's 77th to FG, #9900's 77th to Fg, #6400's 77th to FG, #1200's 77th to FG. So what's next probably a return of the #1200's with maybe some new buses when everyone else has new or rehab equipment. I did say before 2015 that would happen but deliveries are so slow it might be 2016 now.

ArcherRider
4325 is on #147. So NP lost 1540&1544 to 77th and got 4321,4324 and 4325 from K.

I did say before 2015 that would happen but deliveries are so slow it might be 2016 now. Are you sure 5500s and 5600s went to 77th before they went to FG? The way I remember it is FG got 5500s and half of the 5600s brand new after 103rd and then the old Lawndale got their share of that model respectively. Some 5500s and those 5600s spent some time at 77th in mid-1994 going into 1995 as a measure to temporarily even out wheelchair buses with air conditioning against those without after complaints that most of the air conditioned buses were on the north and northwest sides compared to the southside (even though Archer and 103rd both had the 1991 Flxibles, so the complaints were pretty much because of the gaps left from 77th not having Flxibles allowing the local media at the time to fan the flames from the perception that there was a possible racial element at play in how buses got distributed). Once the 6000s started coming in though which went to 77th first, FG got its 5500s and 5600s back from 77th but kept a chunk of the TMCs it received because the 6000s and the 5800s arrival at NP meant more routes could be made wheelchair accessible. But either way, FG got those 5500s and 5600s brand new, gave most of them up for about a year, but got them back because 77th got the first 6000s. So that wasn't a castoff situation. And let's not forget the fact that even if the NFs FG got were previously at other garages first, they still were only a year to a year and a half old at the time and still brought FG's average fleet age down significantly. jajuan
4324 on 146 northbound. 4325 is on #147. Pointing a bit more to a possibility that NP has grabbed the remaining Kedzie 4300s and has gone even more gang buster in its artic count when it was already previously at 119. I don't see evidence NP sent Kedzie anything down which means that's a net gain for NP. So it looks like Andre's mention of the allotment of 135 and 136 going to the 22 in PM rush actually probably meant NP picked up that number to go on 22 in PM rush periods because I don't see how 135 and 136 drop any artics if NP possibly gained some. Tuesday will give a clearer picture since that's the first regular weekday of fall pick and when more artics across the system in general will be in service.
jajuan
The other thing that's making it a bit unclear whether NP gained or traded artics is that it has a few 40 footers out on the 151 right now. Shouldn't need those out on 151 if it actually gained artics.
