That’s what I’m saying but I think (my guess) 103rd will get the remaining newer buses if that’s the case that’s probably why Chicago is getting elderly buses

Basically he's saying scale back on posting information that isn't beneficial to the thread. Unless you have evidence to back up what you're giving out. Loans happen a lot but whenever a move is about to take place I'll let everyone know in advance when I have 95% confirmation it will be permanent. Loans for the AM/ PM rush happen a lot depending on the time of the week. So if you do see something out of place on the rosters just wait a few days before posting about it because more than likely a call was made from garage to garage about loaning some equipment for few hours to a couple of weeks. Moves normally happen during a seasonal pick, equipment shortage, major events that require extra manpower at one or two garages and lastly service changes among some routes that may require extra buses for a garage to facilitate properly. Bus Moves is self explanatory. Buses on the move from one garage to the next as a permanent stay. They can range from a small block of 5 - 10 buses upwards to 50 - 100 spilt among several garages which can take a few days to complete depending on the size of the move. Now recently there have been smaller moves of 5 - 10 buses this year among all 7 garages so I do see why you posted recently.

In light of the inreliability of tracker information, both predicted buses not showing and existing buses not tracking, and posts on the 8350s thread that buses reported by @Chammon Moore as just going into service had been inservice, as well as my comments about Clark St. were  to bring out the point that the virtual world is not the real world. For someone like me, who is not on the inside at CTA, the only I have to verify it is to see it on the street.

I agree with you that a 1 day loan to fill in a gap is too trivial to report. It's something else when FG's 8260-8304 (approximately) all show up at K.And, of I wanted to verify something on the street, at least the windshield sticker should have been changed.

If you want something historic, I was on 55yh St. next to a dead Big Green propane, wjen another bus pulled up,cranked the roll sign to EAST TERMINAL and the supervisor said it was a 77th Street bus. I thought "there issn't bus on 77th Street, but later learned there was a 77th barn, and 55 was not served by it.

Looks like C will continue the trend of getting more stainless steel flyers as #1203, #1216, #1253 and #1255 will migrate there this weekend and yes these are permanent for the time being. #1913, #1967 and #2025 were officially retired this past week. I'm not sure if C will finally mothball the remaining Allison's to 77th for this batch of #1200s they're receiving but time will tell.

I guess that was predictable, as it had the 1900-2029 buses whuch were the last to arrive and the first to go. It still seems like C is overrepresented with Novas, compared to NP, which had 1700-1800s, but there the srrategy was to get NFs from 103 and 74 before getting any Novas. But maybe it will all balance out.

Well with only 72 carbon steel framed buses left among 4 garages it seems C and K have already taken the initiative to start retiring what they have left consistently over the past several months and now that all #8350s have entered service, the focus can now be shifted more so on retiring whatever is left before the next run pick starts and by that point I do believe retiring 72 won't be a challenge at all as the real loser in all of this is NP and K. FG, 74th and 77th will have to off load there large bulk of stainless steel flyers at some point to even things out.77th sending 1200s to K and C is a nice start. I hope 74th and FG follow suit in the next several months.

can’t forget 77th has the most flyers out of all the garages as well as they haven’t been moved in years so it could be time to offload those 1200’s to another garage and send 77th some newer buses that C has been rained on
