Using the Bus Tracker program, I'm going to attempt to get as close to 100% the numbers, New Flyer D40LF-wise, that North Park has from smallest to largest. Here goes:

#1381, #1391, #1402, #1406, #1405, #1407, #1409, #1414, #1416, #1427, #1553, #1569, #1571, #1575, #1605, #1607, #1617, #1623, #1627, #1629, #1751, #1773, #1795, #1859, #1877, #1885, #1889, #1891, #1901, #1905, #1909, #1911, #1915, #1919, #1923, #1936, #1940, #1944, #1952, #1962, #1964, #1976, #1978,

Im almost positive (not 100%) they have the following:

1365-1429, 1550-1579 odds, 1600-1629 odds, 1751-1761, 1762-1798 odds (in the process of receiving the evens from 03), 1850-1925 odds, 1930-1980 evens (in the process of receiving the rest of the evens from 03) and I think thats about it.

As for 4000's they have 4025-4095 odds, and 4096- on all.

Bold Text Indicates Buses from another Garage on assigned shared routes

The bold in your update are Kedzie buses not North Park. 1676 and 1720 also belong to Kedzie. See my other post immediately before this one.

Why would #4104 be on Rt. #97? It seems like too small of a route to have articulated buses, isn't it?

I've seen 7100's and 7500's pull into Howard with at least 60% load in past experiences. It is possible to achieve such a load on that route, let alone an artic.

Wow, so much swapping going on lately.

Here's my .02. After 2029 is delivered, then the Allison NF's should be spread among 4 garages. 1930-1979 should be split between North Park/77th, and 1980-2029 should be Chicago/103rd. I feel that 103rd should have some new equipment too. I mean come on, sending the oldest of the NF fleet to the southside? Not cool at all. And I say this also because I love the way the new deliveries sound and move. Don't they have that Americana feel to them? If 103rd were to get some of those buses back, then half of 1000-10?? should go to Forest Glen or Archer in exchange for some Novas or Flxible 95's.

I dunno, I just want some of those buses back damit! It's unfair that people who ride the 65/66/72/74, etc... are able to look on the tracker and find buses like #1982 & 1990 everyday. Arrggghh!

Okay, rant over.

I want to see and perhaps ride#1982(my birth-year), if it ever makes at the very least a temporary stop at NP or FG(which are garages I ride stock out of most often). That 1980-Series bus has been elusive!!! I've heard people seeing, riding, or bus tracking #1981, #1983, #1984. #1985, #1986, #1987, #1988, and #1989. But where's #1982?!?

It's around. The #1900 that seemed hardest to spot was #1977. But it since about 2 or 3 weeks ago it appears quite a bit. #4033 is the most elusive to me so far. I've only seen it out twice and now it has body damage according to Santran. I never did find out how bad it was, but it's probably waiting on parts now. #4133 will probably pass it up for mileage in a few days.

I've seen 1970 (my birth year) several times along Michigan Avenue, unfortunately it's on route 151, 146 or 147. Hopefully there'll be a shortage on route 56, the one I always use, and I can see 1970 on that route....

I feel the same way, Tamir4317. While I may like Chicago having new equipment, they should give some of those buses to 103rd. It's not fair to 103rd. Why don't they send the oldest stuff to NP?

To put this in perspective, 103 may have (at the moment, subject to change at any moment) the oldest and newest 1000s, but not the oldest buses. A, F, and 6 have them. C and K apparently have a few of them.

This is all relative. Why the 1000s are not fungible is certainly beyond me, although, for that reason, there should be little reason to shift them around.

And what will CTA do when it gets the projected 225 stimulus and capital bill buses (estimated)? Probably just more transfers with little rationale.

4141 is on property now, almost done with the first round. 4124 was hit on the left side on Saturday on the outer drive. The rear ad rack was torn off and lots of body. Hope they actualy fix it nice, we do not need a new bus out there looking like a NABI.

im betting on 2029 because they don't take as long to build as the 4000's.
You can base your bet on what you want, but there is nothing establishing that. What probably controls is what the New Flyer production scheduling department decides.

I'm basing my bet on (1) the 4000s came much quicker than what the CEO of CPS said, and (2) I believe that there was a speed up order given when the apparent retirement of the NABIs became imminent (several months before they were taken off the streets). You can certainly reply that there is nothing establishing either of those premises, either. That's why I said it was a contest.

Maybe they will both show up on the same day, and neither of us will win.
