BusHunter
Rehabbed #1637 just pulled out of 24th/cicero terminal on the #
BusHunter
#1631 (on the #52) is back from South Shops and #1638 (on the #157) is also back from South Shops. I notice starting today, the #52A's are going to Western/Orange line and are signed as such. The #51 is detouring also, but is going to Kedzie/Orange line. Actually, the 52A started detouring at the start of the summer pick. But I'm not sure that they were signed for Western Orange Line until you noticed the signs on today. I think they were still signed for Kedzie Orange Line.
BusHunter
I was at kedzie orange line last week when I reported #1127 on the #47 as being rehabbed and they weren't detouring then.
jajuan
Well BusTracker has been showing buses on 52A going to Western Orange Line for the past couple of weeks.
BusHunter
Well BusTracker has been showing buses on 52A going to Western Orange Line for the past couple of weeks. It was established that that were going to go to Western for the beginning of the summer pick, but they didn't until now.
jajuan
It was established that that were going to go to Western for the beginning of the summer pick, but they didn't until now. My point is somehow BusTracker was having a program glitch and actually showing 52A buses on 51st Street that weren't there then going to and from Western Orange Line for the past two weeks if what you're saying is true that they didn't actually detour until this week. I found it odd, since at the time it was showing buses on the 51 and 52 still on their regular routes before this week. You were actually physically there to see what was going on, thus my new point of a possible glitch.

Doesn't that back up my statements? I don't know about you, but I have never seen any #52A's on 51st before Monday's Bustracker tracking or a physical sighting either. BusHunter
BTW, they brought out rehabbed #1566 on the #9 yesterday in the rush and #1638 is confirmed rehabbed. interestingly #1675 is out today on the #52 along with #1185. Garmon said #1675 was possibly rehabbing at South Shops and #1185 I just suspect might be rehabbed.

Dude, I'm not arguing with your point or did you miss where I said apparently BusTracker was APPARENTLY HAVING A GLITCH by showing the buses detoured when your physical sightings of nothing detoured seemed to back up my earlier post that maybe the detours were delayed when they pulled the notices? Why don't you stop being so darn quick to assume someone is countering your point of view. Sheesh. I was actually pointing out TWICE that maybe the Tracker had been wrong for two weeks. BusHunter
I see #1424's on the #72. If that's the case #1425 can't be far behind it.
garmon757
I see #1424's on the #72. If that's the case #1425 can't be far behind it. #1425 is on #53 @ 31st.
garmon757
#1266 only have the new Clever Device installed. Update on rehabbed #1575: no kneeling decals at all.
BusHunter
Any idea on whether #1159 is rehabbed? It's on the #4. It was the leader to #1198 which I was going to check out yesterday until I got sidetracked by #7901. BTW, i almost forgot #1692 has the updated kneeling stickers as well as the no turn plate. I think it's at least mechanically rehabbed.
BusHunter
#1242 is rehabbed on the #4. #1198's a mechanical rehab
BusHunter
#1420's rehabbed on the #72. He has the lights turn off or they are not working. #1426 only has the left side lights working today. Btw, someone asked me what stop did the bus stop at for the beach. I told them the last one (unless you brought your flippers)
Busjack
.... Btw, someone asked me what stop did the bus stop at for the beach. I told them the last one (unless you brought your flippers) According to Bus Tracker, it first helicopters from 33rd Place.
jajuan
According to Bus Tracker, it first helicopters from 33rd Place. 35.jpg They do need to fix that glitch on BusTracker that shows that 'helicoptering' effect, to borrow your term, instead of more accurately showing the roadways the buses travel along the route, don't they. It's always seems to crop up a lot when they update routes in the map portion of the system to reflect a permanent or long-term temporary reroute. garmon757
As previously discussed, I don't what's up with the stickers on the windshields but I recommend keeping these buses in mind just in case if they are in the process of rehabilitation. Green: #1498 #1737 Red: #1936 #1948 #1753 #1418 Blue: #1791 White: #1079 #1951 Future Rehab: #1923 (The " Watch Your Step" sticker had been removed (as shown in the photo))
garmon757
I rode #1488 on #30 and I'm downgrading the status from mechanically rehabbed to not rehabbed (similar to #1358 due to the updated kneeling and no right turn stickers). There's no new Clever Device and the cut open compartment on the right side on the top of the wheel inside.
BusHunter
#1427's rehabbed on the #72.

Although there might be a double use because some 77th 4000's have them. 1970 and 1972 both have white stickers.
