But since F and P are similar, it's also possible for one to be mistaken for the other if one isn't up close.

It appears they are secured for the DNC shuttles. I saw #8702,#8714 among the group. I'll try to get headcount tomorrow if they're in the same spot. Yeah I know, I was doing this on the fly as I was rushing to get my bus to start my run this morning, I made the list based on how they were parked outside the shop area. Sorry about that. 😅 77th's Potential DNC Fleet Roster 1. #8700 2. #8701 3. #8702 4. #8703 5. #8704 6. #8705 7. #8706 8. #8707 9. #8708 10. #8710 11. #8711 12. #8712 13. #8714 14. #8716 15. #8747

It confirms 2 things speculated above: FG is just a holding pen for them. (Whatever the run number was on 8747, it was probably a training bus, and not indicative of a permanent assignment.) DNC is getting new buses (before someone can pee in them 😏).

Well in a wild twist Kedzie has unloaded 20 of there #8350s to 77th for the DNC. #8748 is here as well but it is at SS for the time being. So in total 77th has 35 #8350's secured for the DNC. A host of other #8350s were seen earlier today between 14th and 15th behind Costco about a block west from Ashland. 1. #8451 2. #8517 3. #8556 4. #8597 5. #8620 6. #8623 7. #8627 8. #8628 9. #8631 10. #8633 11. #8635 12. #8636 13. #8637 14. #8640 15. #8641 16. #8642 17. #8643 18. #8644 19. #8646 20. #8589 (Just saw it before I left this evening.) The Bus Doctor
Question of the week is what happened to 8662 to 8708??? I hope they bundle the buses together by number this is confusing. You need to look at a roster just to see who had what. If I was a tea leaf reader I would say the Glen could end up with the first 100. Perhaps the missing buses are off to North Park. The managers have a say on what they want. Maybe kedzie don't like novas. 8450s could stay at 103rd and the 8550s to chicago. 74th could train soon. If north park ends up with the 8650s that would put the 8750s out south. But who really knows???

jajuan
So from looking at the More Bus Moves thread, we know the fate of the 8400s out of FG. They got moved to 77th along with a few 8600s and 8700s. So instead of a good deal of the 8700s going to NP for some NP D40s, the move so far was to increase the overall number of 8350s at 77th, move a few to C, continue to give FG what 8700s don't get sent to C and 103rd, and give NP a few D40s from K along with a couple of their artics in exchange for some higher mileage artics from NP. RTD8481
Glad that FG scored big in these recent bus deliveries. They usually get shunned when it comes to new bus deliveries . When I worked there in the late 90s/early 2000s. We had mostly a fleet of “hand me downs”. MAN Americanas. Flyer D901s TMC RTSs and Flx Metros 5300s and later 6000s. Then the Nova LFS arrived around 2002
