Why has #1419 been out for a year? I know it’s not retired.

Mechanical issues, that bus was a lemon from the time 77th had it up until it was shipped off to NP. I hated operating it when it was 77th. Suspension was garbage, engine was fighting dear life not to burn a piston on take off. I could go on and on about the #1400s. I hate them with every fiber in my soul. 😅

Whatever transmission they have in that range has always been spotty. I remember being on one that wouldn't shift out of the first 2-3 gears. I know it had to be tough trying to make that left at 95th and cottage with a bus thats merging at 15-20 mph max 🫩

Trust me it was, ECO mode settings on the 594s are really bad. Those gear ratio make the bus performance so sluggish and there is hard any throttle response let alone kickdowns from the transmission.

I have ridden #1505 and the transmission shifts and shakes the bus and it's horrible.

#1051 has been brought to NP. Route 22 Block ID 152. This most likely proves it’s a loan.

I feel like Forest Glen should send over 5 buses for NP to keep, unless FG needs extra buses in the morning, if this is a common trend happening everyday.

Exactly.

Well, #1051 has moved back to FG so it was a loan. FG should send #1146, #1148, #1271,#1289 and #1355 to NP to accommodate for the 22 and 36 in the early morning. I agree with what you are saying.

FG recently had a swap with NP, if anymore moves were to happen it’ll be more 8200’s in exchange for flyers

Well yeah, correct me if I’m wrong but the 8200’s were for the 36 lane camera program. What I’m saying is that FG should send flyers or novas to NP for the 22 and 36 in the early morning rush hours.

NP has about 30-35 buses sidelined rn so yes they’ll be getting some loaners on the weekdays

Makes sense, it’s not like all buses from NP would run at once. Not all are them are ready for service as some are sidelined for maintenance and some are just sidelined in general.

#1400 NP < FG (loan)

I thought we agreed that loans were not worth tracking, only block moves, such as 65 8200s to K.

Again, if you're just sitting on a tracker, anyone can do that.

Yeah the #1400s all the way through the #1500s feel like they’re about to fall apart especially with all the rattle and shaking when drivers hit them potholes. Some of the light fixtures were dangling down looking like they were about to fall at some point which was very common before the first overhauls

I’ve rode on #1306 on 79th last year coming from Ford City, man I tell you it was the shittiest 1000 I’ve ever rode out of 77th. It seemed like every time when the bus accelerated, the transmission jerked and slipped when the driver tried her best to get it to a certain speed it was indeed fighting back LOL.

74th is among the abusers of the 1000s with 1430-1629 being the worst, I always hated that batch of the fleet. The ISM7 set up doesn’t catch my interest as much as the ISM6 set up on 1000-1429 and ISL7 and ISL8 set up on 1630-2029. But I can definitely agree with you that the 1500s are bad

I can also definitely agree that 77th buses are bad because when #1589 was at 77th that bus was horrible when reversing and then going back to drive or neutral.
