Yesterday, 1185 popped up at K from 3

I’m shock that they’ve bothered to fix it, since it didn’t appear to have frame damage, while the 8450s are supposed to retire some of them, something should be retiring soon other than the ones with rust issues with the delivery of 8450s halfway off from completion and the start of the 8550s beginning to come in.

4316 has a chance of coming back to…….it didn’t appear to have frame damage that’s beyond repairable……i’m jus playing the guessing game but who knows what CTA has in store for it

Sounds like K is beginning a major transition from an almost all-NF fleet to a primarily Nova fleet. By Labor Day it may lose its 1640s and 1650s to FG. And some of the buses that K lost had been with that garage since the day they were delivered.

Expect 8287 to join 8260-8299 and 8322-8324 (in addition to its already existing fleet of 7903-7906, 7908 and 8100-8108) at K before this weekend ends. (The exceptions being 8276, 8280 and 8288, which will remain at 103rd for the time being.) Before Labor Day, K may pick up 8343-8349 and some of the 8250s from FG as well.

1657 is at FG so the number of flyers at FG might be at 1660 for the time being but we should see more moves tonight between the 2 garages and when the pick starts for fall

into sunday moves continue we have….

1079 K>P

1084 K>P

1105 K>P

1167-1169 3>P

1632 K>F

1654 K>F

8312 3>K

8286 F>K

8299 F>K

Seems like Kedzie may get a mixed Fleet of old and new buses for the upcoming fall pick. FG seems to be getting the short end of the stick again losing a good chunk of there #7900s to Kedzie. That surplus at 103rd may have been resolved with them unloading those elderly #1000s and #8300s to Kedzie but Kedzie threw an audible unloading those #1000s off to NP. I also notice that no Artics were moved as of yet and that may be due to the fact that almost half of the fleet is sitting OOS.

As it's happening, K appeared to pick up most, if not all, of the 8300-8321 group from 103rd as well because all of the remaining buses in the 8450-8549 group that are currently at South Shops, plus a large number of the buses numbered above 8550, are slated to be assigned to 103rd.

Henceforth, when the weekend swaps are completed, K should be up to 78 Novas assigned to it - 7903-7906, 7908, 8100-8108 and 8260-8324. And once the 8550-8649 group finally enters revenue service, expect K to get assigned some of those, plus much of the yet-to-be-delivered 8650-8749 group, to retire/replace most of its remaining 1600s and 1700s.

K also gave up those flyers they got from 103rd to North Park last night
