Most of the 6600s should still be in decent shape to hang around at least thru next year. Plus if any of them fold at N or S, West can always move theirs. NS NABIs are only 40 ft. ones. 35 ft. ones went to S when NS got 6477-84.
Pace831
Last Wednesday 10/4 at South Holland: 6720 and 6721 in the garage: They were getting some of the new CNGs ready to go: 17508 is the bus with rear end damage, not 17501. 2696 is still here. As I posted in another thread, 2766 went to Heritage. They are finally clearing out some of the community vehicles that were parked on the side of the building. Then 6281 arrived, followed by 6273. Evidently they were trading them for CNGs. The two NABIs appeared on West routes the next day.
Pace831
Thursday 10/5 at Chandler: 17570 has arrived, so the CNGs are almost all here: 2764, and the two others, no longer have BOS wraps: Looks like a few buses were in for warranty work:
Pace831
Today 10/11 at Chandler: They've been busy yesterday and today moving buses around. These two were being parked by the fence. 6725 says "METRA STATION" and 6734 says "NOT IN SERVICE". I also saw 6736 yesterday taking a test drive down 191st. 17565 is in the same place it was last week: Then 6708 pulled in and I got a bunch of pictures of it. I'm sure the driver wondered why I was taking photos of his bus.

The thing I noted was the "South Div. Pace IL" I saw a similar "Heritage Div Pace IL" sign on a NW Orion VI. From the other pictures, it looks like the sign needs to be programmed. Thanks, again. rotjohns
Wouldn't it be wild if 2696 ended up at North? Start a trend of taking out the 6600s eventually? They'll have to retire at some point, but there's no sensible replacement for them right now. I doubt that move happens, but Pace is unconventional so who knows? As I indicated, I just got back, and while I commented on your last post, I didn't scroll up. Anyway, on this one, I made the inference based on what I saw on your photo, through the fence. You obviously got a better picture this time. 14 hours ago, Pace831 said: 2696 is still here. As usual, my first reaction was "what's that got to do with the photo?" but quadruple zooming showed what you meant.Since it is in the garage, they were obviously working on it to send it out. 2 hours ago, rotjohns said: Wouldn't it be wild if 2696 ended up at North? The inference I still have is that they had approximately 223 chances to send an EZ Rider to North, but obviously they didn't do so, so it isn't going to happen. I don't think it goes back to McHenry, since other EZ Riders were sent there (2661, 2662, according to the inventory, in addition to McHenry retaining 2697-8), but what may come into play is something like @Pace831 saying that a Heritage bus is over at Chandler. But, obviously, Pace is not going to send an orphan to N.

I figured Heritage got 2766 to cover 511, which is now using a bus rather than a community vehicle. I hadn't considered the possibility that it was a loaner while 2764 was at Chandler. Curiously, 2764 is on 507 right now, while 2766 is not showing on any Heritage route.

Like 512, it could be interlined with something else. I was only implying that there might be another reason for Heritage being short, as opposed to FV needing it. Yeah I think I saw #6615 out there too. Looks like they have as many old nabi buses left as what they are trying to acquire for CNG's. But they seem like they have more later NABI's #6317, #6268, #6269 and a few others which makes me think they have about 15 older buses left. Pace831
I went by South Holland on Friday but didn't see anything that hasn't been reported already. This morning 6743 was at Chandler, but I couldn't see what else because the gate was closed.
