Wait i thought 77th had a few artics or were they already switched out a long time ago because their were about 3 or 4 hanging around there yesterday morning.Maintenance in guessing huh ?

I could guess because last I checked, 77th had no artics to use on any of its routes since the NF artics transferred from there to 103rd.

Had to have been this past weekend with this big reworking of bus routes in the winter pick for the crowd reduction plan. And I was under the impression 74th had 1166 but I guess Kedzie did keep that one when it shifted some 1160s to 74th in the fall pick.

#4105 should be at NP. That was part of the #4106, #4105 103rd transfer with ex NP's #4102-#4104 around the time of the J14 startup. I know #4104 is wrapped. I wonder if there's plans to wrap the #4300's? Also I couldn't help but notice 77th has gained many more Novas than they previously had. 175 now versus 146 before, with a big influx of newer Novas. (with only the 7 bus loss of Optimas) This would lead me to suspect they have there eyes on retiring some #6400's already.

That would seem a possibility with them having the oldest Novas of the garages that have Novas.

Makes you wonder they took on more short buses when 103rd mainly had to shed off some artics to make room for what 4300s they took on. The U of C 170s range routes aren't going anywhere till that contract with U of C ends in August or whenever it's to supposed to end after this semester and possible relevant summer session at that university. So 103rd could very easily have kept 500s running on the 170s instead of using their 1000s more on those routes since one of the main impetus of having the 500s at all was use on the 170s and low ridership routes where a 40 foot standard bus wouldn't always be an efficient choice.

If 4321 being at Kedzie is indicative of what's in store for the next LFR artics to be put in service, 103rd may be locked in at 54. I wonder though if the holdup with further assignments at Kedzie has anything to do with working out logistics of where to place displaced 4000s from Kedzie since with NP at 123 artics now, there's increasingly less an incentive to add anymore there by virtue of them having more than enough artics to cover what artic using routes are currently assigned at NP. That leaves 77th as their only option for now until that time they can get more garages artic capable.

Actually, I have corrected the list. 1930 and 1931 are both at Chicago, not at 77th. Also, 4106 is at NP, not 103rd.
