Finally get a chance to go to SS and get some shots without too many buses being in the way now that the #800’s are more visible to see. I know for a fact #6470 has suffered a two year issue from what is going on with it while is stuck on route 72 and the instruction Novas have never really been used due to COVID I believe. Next to time I go to SS soon hopefully we can see more #8350’s pop up. It appears more #1000’s have popped up in the back next to the instruction Novas in one of these photos I have posted. I know that #1904 has been there for a bit from what@YoungBusLovermentioned already (credits go to him). The other photos are just random of the #6400’s.

1927 and 1937 are at FG

1823 is at NP

1938 is at C

1258 and 1282 are at 77th

1551 yet to come back and is the last one

Saw both #1927 and #1937 on austin yesterday and today. Both are still wrapped. #1937 has red number decals on the rear left exterior, I guess cause of the wrap.

I've always wondered what made the signs stay on when the bus cuts off. I gave the benefit of the doubt with stuck signs due to the "flip dot" aspect but staying on is a whole different story that never made sense to me ??

If the master is in the "run" position the lights and signs will still operate.  You have to shut the bus off for everything to shut down.  So if a bus was running and the engine shuts down, everything from the lights to the signs would still work.  Once the driver puts the bus off, then everything goes off.  If he attempts to restart the bus, he will turn the switch or know to the run position which will reactivate everything.  On some buses, it is known as the master switch.  Nowadays the master switch is activated but the computer goes through a system electrical check for a few seconds.   Once completed,  the driver is able to push the engine start button or turn the ignition key to start the bus.

Yeah years prior to today I’ve notice a lot of #6400’s flip dots failing to cut off when they power off.
