CTA 'L' Rosters

Today when leaving Midway I saw a four car consists entering Midway consisting of two 2600s and two 3200s.   Upon arriving near Forest Park,  another four car consist with two 2600s and two 3200s was departing Forest Park.   I couldn't tell if that were transfers or training cars.

brown line has 2 cars from midway…2707-2708

I didn't catch the car numbers of either set.  You might have explained the 2600s but what were the 3200s doing?  Remember the first set was pulling into Midway.  I don't know if these cars came from the Blue Line or the Brown Line or were training cars.  The second set seems to have come out of the Forest Park yard but there's no way I could tell where it was heading.

So far: 2687, 2725 (ironically), 2749, 2773, 2821, 2839, 2873, 2905, 2911, 2927, 2939, 2961, 2969, 2987, 3009, 3013, 3025, 3043, 3063, and 3105 were spotted on the Brown Line.

2707 was from Midway. You can add 3041 to the list.

There might be more I have missed. I am not counting work trains or holiday trains on the list above. If there are more, let me know.

On the rosters they are there as work motors, so technically not. Maybe you can say "NOT IN REVENUE SERVICE." Elf Trains are also there.

Does anyone have the latest railcar assignment roster sheet from the CTA? The one from July 2022 is a bit outdated. For example, I know that 2710 has been moved to the Blue Line and 3111 has been scrapped. In addition, there are at least 24 more 7000s in service.

2709-2710 are not on the blue line

(unconfirmed) but a kimball shop employee told me the roof boards will be coming off in order to send the 3200’s to the blue line……..by end of summer no 3200’s will be on the brown line

Assuming that this is true, why now ( or later this summer)?  If this is feasible,  this could have been done already.  But I will believe it when I see it.

Yeah only 3200s/3300s went to Blue Line from Brown Line.

I think the 7000s will temporarily at Blue Line
