#1843 is not rehabbed. #1599 is rehabbed. Oh by the way, I don't know why #2016 is at the shop after I carefully saw it rehabbed but has the green dot sticker on its windshield! Wassup with that???

Good cause they both left the #29 before I got to see them. btw, #1257 is not rehabbed on the #28.

Ahh #1599's a ghost bus now?? I just saw it.

#1116 and #1220 were released and on #49 and #53A. #1938 was also released while on #62. #1751 is rehabbed while on #63.

I am kind of surprised that 1938 was released back to 74th (yes, I know its their bus  ), I would of thought (and hoped) that 77th would claim it back in the process.

Wouldn't make any logical sense at this point unless the 7900s being recalled and pulled from service but I don't want to go there. I already seen enough from 7500s mumbo jumbo to the first D60LFR engulfed in flames. I don't want to see bad luck with the 7900s.

Aside from the mechanical rehabs, one has to wonder if the money being put into 1,030 rehabs is worth it if retirement for the D40LF may begin by 2018(12th year of service for the oldest in fleet if CTA is adopting a new 12-year service life standard for buses). This would be worth it if the fleet was going to be around in it's entirety(minus wrecks, fires, etc...) until near 2023-2024.

Federal standard is midlife. I had previously questioned rehabbing the buses out of order. Of course, as you have previously argued, the likelihood of CTA retiring a bus at the end of the 12 year FTA life is rather nil; the best it seems to do is 14 years.

Also the 5 year capital plan in the budget only indicates funding to complete the purchase of the Novas, so theoretically one is looking at 2020, at which point most of the 1000s will be due.

I'm pretty sure #1573 is a full rehab on #62. #1549's destination sign is pointed towards the stars. Must have a loose bracket. And #1016 has those eyes again like what on #7960 on the #7900's roster page, but it's turn sideways and looks like Bart Simpson. LOL!!

But you didn't take a pic of it?!?!?' C'mon man!!!

Yeah and the Fishbowls being gradually retired and taking a few years to knock out shows that it might be that way with the 1000s. Plus as alluded to by the 14 year reference, we're about to transition into it being 2 years since the 6400s became retirement retirement eligible. So I'd say the money is worth it in getting the 1000s a few years past 2018.

1549's sign has been like that for the longest now. I remember a few other members and myself posting about it months ago.
