Looks Like CDOT, is finally going to begin construction of the Damen Green line Station. The construction contract is currently out for bid:

I was wondering what was going on here, I was wondering where the construction was when I took the green line over the summer. Why is CDOT handling bid requests and not CTA?

I thought when the project was first announced,  2021 would be the year the station opened, not the year the project would be put out for bid.  I know preliminary work was done upon Lake St at Damen that caused a reroute of the 50 but hoping ago was that?

I think you mean 50.

I think they might leave Damen avenue open without rerouting unless there is big work where the buses will have to be diverted as follows: Damen - Fulton - Western - Madison - Damen going south and Damen - Madison - Western - Fulton - Damen for north. I am not sure yet but depending on this I think there would be shuttles for weekend closures too

If memory serves, the reroute during that initial preliminary work was Grand-Western-Madison because of all the factories and other industrial buildings on Fulton making it too heavy with truck traffic to send buses that way. So if they have to do reroutes again, they likely will choose Grand over Fulton for those reroutes.

I honestly can't wait for it. Seeing how the Cermak - McCormick Place station turned out back in 2015, i think the new Damen will look amazing!

Yep-but one thing I noticed was after the Brown Line station renovations, the stairs started rusting after 10 years and now it looks like the stairs are at least 30 years old since they rusted so fast. Hopefully the rusting won't happen as fast as it did for the brown line.

I have always favored a Pink Line United Center station, but at least this station would be the closest to the United Center.

Honestly, there’s no reason they can’t do Madison Pink Line as the next infill station, especially if the west loop area continues its expansion

This may help:

I wonder if they finally got the permit issue worked out now that we're presently at mid-May of 2022. As is, it's already been three years since initial work was done to prepare for the actual station construction.
