I still think it is crazy to send new buses to FG only to turn around and take them away in a short period of time.   We will see what happens soon.

this isn’t their first rodeo on shifting new equipment as soon as it gets delivered to garage you can put into example the 8325’s FG got em brand new and then got rid of em weeks later to 103rd in exchange for flyers, this just a whole repeat of whatever happened few years back.

I wonder how nobody posted this here…

All the 1100s that were at Kedzie with the new fare boxes are now assigned to North Park. The 1100s at Chicago remain at Chicago.

the ones at North Park are: 1106 1109 1110 1112 1113 1116 1117 1128 1129 1142 1158 1167 1170 1174 1176 and 1194

I think it is because the new fareboxes were being introduced on mostly Chicago garage routes - but Kedzie also got some because of it helping out on some Chicago routes. What surprised me, but I did not think it significant enough to mention it here was that a number of Chicago garage New Flyer buses numbered higher than 1630 also got the new farebox. ("We don't have enough to redo every bus.") (If they're going to be scrapped, why are they getting new equipment?)

All of Kedzie’s buses now have new fare boxes.

1106 moved back to Kedzie, so it appears this was a loan to North Park.

1437 and 1797 are in service at Kedzie with new fareboxes.

I don't think the new farebox says much. As already said, basically all of K's buses have the new fareboxes. Plus I rode 4353 briefly on the 151 this evening (after being switched from a 136 that went out of service at Hollywood to jot back downtown due to being late), and it has the new farebox as well. It's the first NP bus I've seen sporting the new farebox. So it's pretty safe to say the new fareboxes have already begun showing up outside of Chicago buses.

3 buses moved from North Park to Kedzie for the new fareboxes, but North Park buses will start quickly getting them. I caught 1769 yesterday with a brand new farebox so I expect most of the north park buses to have new fareboxes by the end of the month.

Gotcha. I guess I should have worded that a bit better and said 4353 is the first NP bus that's been there consistently and the first physical one and not one I heard about that I've seen with the new farebox. 😂

#8360,#8392,#8481, & #8711 are at 77th.

Also #600,#602,#603 & #622 are at 77th as well. Farebox has been removed among parts from #600.

When you say 77th,  do you mean that the buses are assigned to 77th or are the buses at South Shops.?

For the moment short term assigned to 77th. As far as the #600s they agenda with those are unknown. However they're all sitting in our bay area amongst the rest of the fleet.

I’m not sure what is up with 74th giving away their buses here Outwest but as of last night 8088, 1027 and 1472 were at K and as of today, 1527, 1386, 8053, 8046 are at K

I guess we will see tomorrow how things work out,  but it's looking like C, K, and F are doing the heavy lifting fir the DNC,  with a little contribution from 77th and 103rd.

The real action will begin once DNC leaves town.

Will FG no longer have any 8200s or even 8350s after the DNC wraps up?

I'm sure they will have some of both but maybe not as many as they currently have now.  There are two garages that don't have any 8350s  with one of them not having any 7900s either.  That could possibly change after this week .

Is there a possibility that FG will get elderly New Flyers from any South Side or West Side Garages? Higher 8600s to the 8749 range are expected to stay at FG or relocate somewhere else.

the 87’s are expected to depart FG post DNC to neighboring garage north park per @MALTDISNEY in return for north park’s flyers.

what also is a surprise is 8715, 8719, 8721, 8722, 8727, and 8736 have entered service out of 103rd (8736 moved from Chicago Ave)

FG is expected to become an ALL NEW FLYER garage and will have no more 82s 83s and 84s?

I don't know.   It's possible.   We just have to wait and see.

FG might be screwed again like back in 2015 with 100% with beat up 1000's only.

Considering that it got 2 groups of 8350s, at least, I doubt it. Also, you are incorrect, as FG never was all 1000s; its 6400s were replaced with 8230s, 8343s, and 8350s. Meanwhile NP hasn't received any yet. Curb your anxiety.

On the latest moves it appears Chicago Garage has gotten some buses from North Park and a few from 74th

1568 6 > C

8014 8022 8060 8070 8080 8089 & 8094 6 > C

1373/1452 also 6 > C
