This is due to structural improvements to remove slow zones and improve rail service on the Brown Line as part of the Ravenswood Connector Rehabilitation Project. Service Interruption Update(7:53p): Service has been downgraded to Major Delays due to ongoing congestion on the Inner Loop track. Service Interruption Update(10:46p): Service continues to have Major Delays due to ongoing congestion on the Inner Loop track. The CTA website has this continuing until 12/30/14 @ 9:44p, which may be a bit exaggerated unless something is so badly damaged on the Outer Loop tracks that it's going to take a week to repair. I was just on a Purple that pulled in to Clark/Lake. Could see a crew working on the switch on the Eastbound track. Presumably a problem with the switch that serves the green/brown line there.
