The way i/ seems to be set up is for 103rd to get the next batch of 8350s.

If making garages completely Nova is their game, 103rd still has nf artics. They would need about 150 to go completely 40 foot Nova. You know who would be good to go to? 77th or 74th cause they have the novas already in pretty good number. But 74th is getting proterras. Eventually I think all proterras will be in one spot and 103rd may actually  get more nova electrics. (Than 6)

No matter what happens t g ere is only gonna be 400 nf #1000's so that not alot of buses maybe a garage or two.

I don't believe he was saying that making the garages all Nova was what the goal was. He was simply saying that with the way NF 1000s assignments are right now, 103rd might be next on the list to receive 8350s because it has the next oldest 1000s behind FG. That's two separate things.

#4383 Will be out for a while, I don't how long it's been in the boneyard with major front end damage but it looks pretty severe. Also a quite a few buses from C,NP and K appear to rusted out cosmetic damage that has sidelined them to the boneyard. Some of the damage is more severe than other buses but it's not shocking to see.

CTA is now doing what New York has for years - buses no longer have permanent homes. When a bus in NY goes to shop, the day it leaves it goes to whatever garage needs a bus that day. Assignments change daily. With radios, fareboxes, signs all system wide, no reason to have assignments any more. As long as garage X has its requisite X number of buses, it matters not which ones they are.

From a keeping the mileage even standpoint, this actually makes sense even if if might make the bus spotters and hunters among the transit fans crazy. ?

Just got off 4383 about 30 minutes ago, that bus was in service for about two weeks already. I’m surprised that bus still has its late 2019 early 2020 advertisements as of today. Bus is in pretty good condition and that rear door has a loud opening noise
