Yep that's true and since there are over 1k D40LF's retirement will be long and I heard some are getting 2nd rehabs so they pass 20 years too

Yea they are some are getting a second rehab the ones thats in the best of shape so I wouldnt put it pass them to crack 1 mill miles but they are in the same boat as novas the ones in the worst shape getting knocked off first then the rest gone be depending on what the bus brakes like how the some of 64 & 65's they ran a long ass time uts gone be uf it blows a motor or trans then its gone be retired but if it keeps on kicking its gone keep ticking

As I reported on last week there were at least 27 inactive #4000s and #4300's combined. Now those number have jumped to 29+ with more to be added shortly, some are in the boneyard while others are in the shops themselves. All of the pictures posted have been taken within the past 3-4 weeks.

#4003,#4007,#4010,#4014,#4019,#4037,#4039,#4042,#4043,#4054,#4062,#4082(Accident),#4098,#4105,#4118,#4175,#4178,#4179,#4192,#4200,#4201 #4302,#4320,#4328,#4347,#4357. #4181 was in the boneyard earlier this week but was transferred to the main facility to get worked on. #6755 was set to return to FG tonight but had issues yet again.
