wordguy
A few more #4000's have hit the street. Yesterday #4065 was on the #147 and #4064 was on the #14. Also it seems a few Chicago #6070's are on the move. Yesterday I spotted #6079 and #6073 NB on Michigan avenue south of Chicago Av. It looks as if 6079 is on loan to NP. It was operating as a #136 yesterday evening. Could be true of 6073 as well.

Ok,Makes sense since I rode 6079 on the 155 yesterday night.Felt kinda strange riding it on that route For what I remember growing up in the area since the 90's it's only been 4400's,5800s and 1000's on the 155. But who knows these days,I might even see an artic on the 97 skokie someday,Like I did back in the 90's LOL :P
Busjack
For what I remember growing up in the area since the 90's it's only been 4400's,5800s and 1000's on the 155.I once saw a 5700 at the Howard bus terminal, and a 6200 on Devon. The latter was immediately after the swap to get buses with preheaters to the "outdoor garages," and must have been temporary. But you are right--a Flxible Metro was virtually unknown on North Park routes, and that was about the only part of town where that was the case (since there were 800 for almost everywhere else). Also appears to support trainman's planning point--stop deliveries to NP so that you can move NFs from 103 to C to move 6000s from C to NP. It was temporary (only for that month) but it did happen. There were #5300's, #4400's, #5800's, #6000's, #7500's, #500's, #1000's. About the only thing missing was the #6400's or the #800's or #900's. That's got to be the closest I've seen to having all bus types at one garage. jajuan
Trainman mentioned not too long ago that some of the 1900s at 77th only have 'transitchicago.com' above the rear side windows, dropping the www.- at the beginning. Well there are some out there that don't have the website above the windows at all just like most of the lower numbered NFs that got here in 2006 and 2007. Today I spotted 1935 on the 3, 1957 on the 4 and I believe 1975 on the 6 without the web address.

This is where I stated that I was on 1938 on the 14 (which is 103 not 77, but what's the difference?) that night which is when I noticed that. I also mentioned that into the 4040's (or so) and up did not have the www. I also saw a bus on the 6 today (was to far away to get the actual number) which had the "transit chicago" sticker about 3 windows from the back on the drivers side instead of the usual 2 (as if it was put in an area where the entire decal would have been placed). Ok I remembered it was a southside bus just couldn't completely remember the thread I saw the post so I could verify which southside garage the bus was from. I think I happened to see a couple of buses on the 14 today with a similar decal placement. I saw a bus on the 3 with the decal applied that way but was a little too far away to get a clear look at the number after having a steet lamp glare over the number briefly when it passed by. As far as the website logo I've seen buses that have them on one side and don't have them on the other like they fell off. With the bus advertizing above the windows placed over the decals perhaps they are falling off when there removed. I've also noticed now when a new ad goes up it is placed over the old one without removing it. I'll have to take a closer look at the newer buses from what I could say now they should all be there. The others may have had the decal on the other side because I only saw one side but 1957 didn't have it on either side because I saw both sides of it while the NF I rode on 145 played leap frog with it. BusHunter
#1981 is on the #87 on Bustracker as well as #4069 on the #146. So far it seems the hardest bus to spot from NP seems to be #4033. I only seen it make one rush hour trip so far.

sht6131
CTA5750 your assumption would be correct if it was spotted prior to between 6:30 and 7:00AM on a Sunday/Holiday morning. All 82`s have been thru routed the rest of the day and evening except the last 4 pull-ins. The last one leaving Devon-Kedzie at 1:14AM to Jackson. It is correct that for a long period of time they short turned at Belmont between approximately 10:AM and I think 9:00PM. I admit that I did a double take the first time I saw the thru route on the schedule. I don`t think I remember a notice on that improvement. This could have been a short turn into place. They did announce the improvement when it happened sometime last year. As said the first morning trips do and always have only gone to Belmont/Kimball terminus. The thru routing makes sense for those traveling south from Devon/Kedzie. Once you get off the 155, then what? lol.

BusHunter
#1988 was on the #14 yesterday along with #4071 on the #147. We are starting to get real close to #2000. Maybe in a week or two it'll be here.

jacksone44
What was the official cutoff of the "transitchicago.com" decals over the rear windows of the 1000's? I saw 1973 on the 2 with it and thought the cutoff was somewhere in the early 1960's.
