rotjohns
WebWatch shows thus: Yep, 2354 and 2368 are former Northwest buses that have now moved to North. Interesting. I was wondering why they are requesting 40-foot Orions, but I realized that it's probably for the school trippers since North got rid of at least 3 Orions in recent months as Railway indicated. Railwaymodeler
One of the drivers told me this morning, there is a third new (to North) Orion still in the garage. Will be looking for it! Reminds me of an old aviation saying: 'The only suitable replacement for a DC-3 is another DC-3'.
BusExpert32
Webwatch is acting up today, but noticing today that to this point only 2315 and 2351 are showing up at NW and the Eldos are now up to at least 2788. Any word on any more Orions that have headed or are heading to South Holland? NW still has at least six Orion Is: 2315, 2324, 2351, 2352, 2363, and 2369. Well if that's the case, then it's 2379, 2384, and 2400. Those are the only buses that have been sighted at Webwatch and physically by me and others in recent weeks. I think its 2379, 2384, and 2398, unless 2400 is also active and there's four of them.
rotjohns
And believe it or not, 2316 still lives. I physically sighted it yesterday in Naperville on Route 59. The Orions out there will probably stay there until they fall apart. Wouldn't it be interesting if the remaining Nova Classics went to 1st Student in Naperville? Fat chance probably.

How many #6600's are in Naperville at 1st student? Is it just #6607-#6611 or are there more? I seemed to have lost track of #6614 - #6617, #6619 - #6624, #6633, #6636, #6644, #6649, #6663, #6665, #6668 and #6670. I have no idea what garage those currently are at. Does anyone know what happened to those buses?

Does anyone know what happened to those buses? None of them is in Naperville. Pretty much all of them through 6649, plus 6683 are at Westmont. I think 6663 is at South, 6624, 6644, 6665 and 6668 are at West, and 6670 is definitely at North Shore. 6614 is a mystery as it was reported that it was kept in Aurora for school runs. Busjack
If WebWatch can be taken at face value, the last two at NW are 2315 and 2351. North Shore seems status quo at the moment. 2291 was at Ravinia over the weekend, but I guess that is over for the season.

The rest of them had to either be moved to Waukegan to live on or South Holland to be gone.

Anyway, on 272 at the moment.
Busjack
Another thought occurred to me. Could it be possible that 2793/2794 was sent to Westmont (see New El Dorados thread) so they can send 2 Nabis back to Academy to take out 2290/2293? Maybe 5750 could enlighten us on that. Let's also consider that there apparently are 4 Orions to take out of Naperville, and North Shore hasn't been touched yet, as well as indications that Academy and North need 40 footers, not these buses. BusExpert32
North Shore seems status quo at the moment. Status quo meaning 12? or 13? Orion Is? There are at least 12: 2278-2285, 2341, 2344, 2345, 2349, and 2350, but I remember seeing 2339 in person on route 422 last February out of North Shore too and don't recall it being reported at South Holland or elsewhere. Haven't seen 2339 in person or on Webwatch over the past few months, but maybe it's a ghost bus.

Your numbers agree with mine, except that 2283 was most recently a Lisle bus, and I haven't seen at in North Shore territory, either physically or virtually. While Feb. would be a while back, I though I saw 2339 more recently. However, I'm not going to stake anything on it.

Did you see 2339 on routes 215 or 421? I've seen every North Shore bus on Webwatch over the last couple of weeks, except 2339. Route 215 needs 4 buses during rush hour, but on quite a few days there's only 3 buses on webwatch on the route. Route 421 is also short on buses on webwatch sometimes. 2339 could be the ghost bus there and on other routes.

It looks like 2315 and 2351 have survived at NW for now with the new Eldos going elsewhere. Hopefully they will be there for a while, just like 2290 and 2293 have been sticking around at Academy. Again, my surmise, but with 2789-91 not showing up on WebWatch, at least by Friday the 17th, the two may be waiting around for those 3. Especially, with those at the end showing up at SW, there are still those in the middle to be distributed.

I still remember when the first Orions (8700s) arrived in 1987. I was still in high school then.
