The ramp is intact, but the entire covering (top and sides) is missing from the middle third of the ramp from the Paulina ramp. There was a WB Blue Line train at the station and an EB train at the Kedzie-Homan station. Both were stuck with no electricity in that area. "Isles OfErin" got some good footage of the walkway covering collapse. However, she thought it was a Blue Line train.. now Complex has a whole story about an L train derailing. http://www.complex.com/life/2016/07/chicago-woman-films-train-derailment?utm_campaign=complexmag&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
BusHunter
wgn had a good story on it. http://wgntv.com/2016/07/24/cta-shelter-collapses-blue-line-trains-halted-in-medical-district/ They show the video of a woman driving past, but you can't see much due to all the arching. I know myself when something strikes the tracks they arch like hell. 600 volts DC is nothing to screw with.

The aluminum canopy was demolished, but the concrete ramp was intact. The real question is how the lightning found ground through the canopy. Since it is stated lightning has about 100 million volts, 600 volts on the third rail is comparatively little.

The bigger one better illustrates that forensics need to figure out how the flash traveled from the platform canopy up the canopy over the ramp, unless something else really happened.
