busfan2847
I did this morning and the answer is NO (6:24 a.m.):2656 is now on 633 (8:18 a.m.). Thus, I have no idea why 627 would permanently need an express bus.Saw 6377 on the 214 in Evanston on 10/1/15. Now in regular Pace livery. Do not think NS is using them as Express buses. There isn't 214.2. I had seen it physically on 620 a couple of weeks ago. Yes it is stripped of the BOS wrap (since shoulder riding is not yet authorized on the Edens), but at least there it was in express service. 6378 seems to be used pretty consistently on 619, which has a very short Tollway segment. andrethebusman
6451 seen with an all-over wrap for avoiding construction by using PACE. Believe 6455 also running, also wrapped same.

Busjack
It can still be a interline, or that Express Bus was sent to 619/620/626. I don't think those are assigned to just any route...I don't think they are assigned to just any route, but the logical interline in this case would have been 6377 from 618 to 627, not 2656 from 618 to 633. For the most part, these buses don't stay out midday, so, of course something different in the afternoon (often, but not always 619 and 620) is expected. I believe you found an interline between 215 midday and 626 (which might have existed for a long time, since a Nova Classic was on 215, about 10 years ago or so). busfan2847
Bushunter Great work on the Roster. I looked through your latest Pace Roster and noticed a few discrepancies. Northwest - 2767 has been at FS-Westmont since 4/15; 2785, 2786 have gone to Southwest River - 2742 is at Heritage Downers Grove Commuter Shuttle no longer exists, buses and routes to FS-Westmont from 10/22/2014 Fox Valley - 2743 is at Heritage Heritage - 6963 is also at Heritage (2015 vehicle) First Student Westmont - gained 2602-2604, 2650, 2699-2701 from Downers Grove, Lost 2807-2812 to MV Transportation (Du-Page-Wheaton, listed as Carol Stream in RTAMS) along with routes 661-5 (8/21/14) South - MCI 6908-12 and 6914-9 went in 2014 Niles - 2604 went to Downers Grove and is now FS-Westmont First Transit McHenry still exists operating 806-809, however 2696 now with FT-Shaumburg for Woodfield Trooley Service (along with Chance Trolleys 1,2 ,5,6) Alan

I guess your only quarrel with busfan2847 over the 66Xs contract is that there was a passenger notice that the lost and found number was changed to a Romeoville one after MV got the contract. The pages for Wheaton Lombard routes (such as 715) say MV Batavia, and those schedules still have a Batavia lost and found number. Thus, the two contracts are not operated out of the same facilities. Pace831
I've seen 2808 deadheading to Romeoville after the morning rush, so I'd think the others in that block (2807-2812) would have to be there as well, not anywhere in DuPage. Only Google references to MV in Romeoville are in telephone directories. 720 Parkwood Ave , Romeoville, IL 60446-1135 Must be where they are going. That would seem correct, as I saw the bus going south on Route 53 just to the north of there.

Google this map, folks. Looks like a couple of buses in the parking lot (at least in Firefox 2D map).

So your saying #2697-98 remain at Mchenry? There is only 1 trolley wrapped Eldorado? Also FT Schaumburg is not FT Glen Ellyn? #6908-12 and #6914-19 went as in retired? I guess the rest i can edit, thanks anyway for the heads up.

Besides whether there were an 08 and 09, those were all leased coaches, and Pace just let the leases expire when it got the 6377s and some 6950s. Those and the 6920s were never Pace property. There's no replacement for those?

The only thing that has shown up on Webwatch for the past couple of years on 877/888 have been 6379-6385 (except for the occasional NABI). 117 might only be that there has to be extra spares for the NABIs, As I see it, it should end up the 91 CNGs and 7 Express buses for a total of 98, unless Pace intends to keep some spare diesels around. BTW, if 2600 was ever in Niles, I certainly haven't seen it lately. Probably is in Aurora.

I thought I saw something from Joliet working that. I guess I'll have to watch those routes on Monday.

Deceptive thing on that schedule is all the combo trips. 877 schedule has 4 a.m. trips and 5 p,m. trips, but taking out the combo trips. 888 only adds 2 a.m.trips and 2 p.m. trips, so p.m. might be a bit tight, resulting in the occasional NABI. No way Joliet has any of this, as one terminal or the other is in Harvey or Homewood.

They had posted 6 months ago that Tower Contracting LLC had the contract for upgrading the South garage, and there is the notice on pacebus.com that South Division is closed to the public due to construction. So, it looks like the 2 are timed to mesh. I wonder how they were delivered--whether on flatbed, of if there are enough CNG fueling stations for trucks between California and here (might be). Well i think NF will deliver a CNG bus by driving it to it's destination. Wasn't the bus filmed in Montana a CNG? i believe it was headed for SF. I wonder if the bus runs any different? The only time I rode CNG buses was in the early 90s, and they seemed quieter, but lacked pickup. I suppose, though, that someone from southern California could say, as that's almost all that is run there,
