The "computer" to which I was referring was the one with the maintenance records, and presumably from which the FOIA rosters are derived. @YoungBusLover posted that in January, and based on that 8350+ are 7900s. 40 minutes ago, jajuan said: And as I pointed out before, CTA has been inconsistent and has itself referred to them as 8350s not a continuation of the 7900s in official budget documentation. Looking at @BusjackBusjackpost, it is clear that neither the 8325s nor the 8350s listed are 2014 7900 series Novas. The 8325s ARE 7900s as they are the LAST OPTIONS EXERCISED on the original order. As I pointed out before, the 8350s are a separate series because they are a separate contract which Nova just happened to win. This is similar to the 9600 series Fishbowl being a separate series from the 9000 series Fishbowl even though that series ended at 9599. Same type of bus, different order with some added features. Looking at my two posts, they are not 2014, but they are 7900s in CTA's records, and, rationalize it all you want, they are not a separate series. Do I have to copy the roster again? I will, even though you quoted it without reading it. Now, maybe you think CTA is full of it, but similar to what @andrethebusman99 said about retired buses, no matter what people here say about missing engines, LTH, etc., it is the paperwork that counts.

Now, maybe you think CTA is full of it, but similar to what @andrethebusman99 said about retired buses, no matter what people here say about missing engines, LTH, etc., it is the paperwork that counts. I absolutely read it. Did you see the first column list the bus numbers? Did you see the 2nd column list the YEAR of the bus? It reads 2014. By your own admission and matter of fact this is incorrect. So you can also see that 7990 series is ALSO INCORRECT when it comes to buses 8350 and higher. Someone in maintenance botched the paperwork either out of laziness or rushing. I already gave you the example of the 9000s and 9600s even though one could argue they are the same buses, but are separate series. CTA prwaa releases and statements have referred to them as separate series. If CTA had started numbering them at 8400 or 2100, everyone would know and say they are a separate series. The point, however being, that except for the foamers, this roster has relevance only to the maintenance department. It isn't like the schedule error @andrethebusman99 found that a bus was supposed to be at Lawrence 5 minutes after Fullerton, and somebody might have been standing at Addison. It's a similar senseless argument as over whether a Pace 11100 should have been a 10100 or 5900. It makes no difference to anyone on the street.
YoungBusLover
I didn't notice many changes outside of 103rd starting to unload its roster of D40LFs, they currently have at least 70 #8350s so far with more on the way later on this summer I can assume. Gains/Losses are added to help everyone decipher the difference from the last list I made in late May. I've also color coded the list to make it a bit better to skim through. That is so odd, you would think that NOVA would have just sent a new bus to replace 8327. Maybe one day it will see service again.

Once the warranty is up, it is CTA's problem.

Gains/Losses are added to help everyone decipher the difference from the last list I made in late May. I've also color coded the list to make it a bit better to skim through. As always if anyone notices anything wrong feel free to let me know. You already have it gone from 103rd, but it's not listed under NP. Matter of fact, it's on the 36 right now.
