Gotta squeeze as much life out of these buses as possible.   They might have to get to 20 years of service.

It seems like somehow CTA historically got 20 years out of buses (1972 GMCs until 1992, 2002 Novas until 2022), but with this many boneyard buses, I don't currently see how.

On a couple of occasions when CTA was short, it got buses from Pace (700s and 4915s). I know where it could pick up some low-mileage buses ?.

Depends on how many operators vs. how many buses to restore full service, and whatever causes the delays in getting 8350s and electric buses into predictable service. I don't have answers to any of this.?

Apparently neither does CTA which is why 20 years is possible.  I do know i don't want to see any 2600s on the 6 or J14, low mileage or not.
