Probably the high anount of cars on the blue are due to the high demand and not so reliable/old cars. Dont really know why green has 190 vut it could have to do to consolidation. Cta has gone out of there way to make the lines uniform. So if that leaves many spares that may be why. Strange how the orange line is keeping  its #2600's its like they dont even want to go their with a mixed fleet.

2600s and 3200s are compatible with each other, so it isn't much of an issue for the Orange Line to operate both.  5000s on the other hand are not compatible with 2600s nor 3200s due to the use of AC motors.  My guess is CTA is trying to stay away from a mixed DC and AC fleet on the Orange Line.

That makes sense, especially in light of the CTA now trying to stay away from mixed AC and DC fleets on all of its lines. Had 5000s been assigned to the Orange Line, the AM rush Brownage runs (as we know them) would have been discontinued completely, and then the Green and Pink Lines would then have been completely re-equipped with old 2600-series cars. And then, there might have been some Breen and/or Brink runs (runs originating from the Harlem and/or Racine and/or 54th Yard being diverted to Kimball instead of the West or South Sides).

I am currently on car #3300. Is this a new seating setup?Four doubles facing front and four facing the rear in the center of the car?I don't recall a 3200 with that setup. The car is unrehabbed otherwise  (florescent lighting and roll signs)

I've. Noticed that before. Been like that awhile. Not sure what the story is.

I know some cars were modified with double seats like this one, but I think the grabrails attached to the double seats were bent to accommodate the double seats while still attaching to the point for a single seat. Also I don't remember there being that many double seats and having them in that layout. Maybe this is more recent.

You know if i didnt know any better i would say cta is still having issues with the rehabbed  3200s.  At midway out here seems like its all rehabbed cars yet they run 2600s. Theres something weird about that. And then in my shots at skokie shops 3 or 4 sets of existing rehabbed pairs were there. Interesting.

Saw an orange line train in the loop.. to my surprise it looked like it was rehabbed... had LED signage installed and led interior lights...

As noted above, not enough. The undercarriage equipment, such as the resister bank, also has to look new and shiny.
