BusHunter
I believe 6614-6619 are at South #6616's at NS, #6618's at west.
Busjack
#6616's at NS, #6618's at west. Yep. 6618 has been at West ever since Aurora went Eldo. It didn't go to Westmont like most of the other Aurora buses 6614 and up I think some of the former Academy ones will start showing up once school starts. Railwaymodeler
As mentioned in another thread, 6611 is a North bus now.
Guest
#6606 from the Academy buses has shown up at North Div. All the other #6600's from Academy are still missing. If they could get those buses to the other divisions that just may retire the high floor Orions as there doesn't seem to be that many mostly being ran on NS's shuttle bugs. Other buses I've seen swapped lately were #6062 to West, #6249 to West, and then River Division picked up #6652, #6648, #6683 and #6669 since the #600's from Academy went all NW and River. Still can't seem to figure out what happened to #6608, #6611, #6615, #6617 and #6647 which used to be at Westmont. I recall seeing #6647 on the #307 Harlem SB not too long ago. BusHunter
NABI #6608 is assigned to North Shore Division per paperwork on the windshield. Thanks I put the change on the pace roster page. I had #6608 formerly at West in case anyone interested.
rotjohns
NABI #6634 formerly from West Div was transferred from S.Holland today to South Div. It appears West is dumping some excess 6600s and sending them elsewhere. I knew sooner or later they were gonna have too much once they took on some former Academy buses. BusHunter
NABI #6634 formerly from West Div was transferred from S.Holland today to South Div. That would leave only 6 former Academy buses left to assign. Has any high floor Orions come down to S.Holland lately?
RJL6000
It appears West is dumping some excess 6600s and sending them elsewhere. I knew sooner or later they were gonna have too much once they took on some former Academy buses. Recently, I've seen an Orion VI numbered lower than 6041 on one of the West Division routes. This one was numbered 6039. It appears that West has been shipping out 6600s to others because it has gotten a couple more Orion VIs from Northwest. Guest
I just left Pace North Shore, Orion #2344 is sitting on a side roadway, but surprisingly the markings and logos are not blacked out.
Busjack
I just left Pace North Shore, Orion #2344 is sitting on a side roadway, but surprisingly the markings and logos are not blacked out. Given its reported condition, I doubt that anyone will be infringing the trademarks by operating that bus. Also, with regard to those asking if any retired buses showed up at South Holland, the disposition is usually at the division garage. That wasn't the case for 6047 and 6173, but was for 2453. Pace must have made the determination that 2344 wasn't worth towing.
Busjack
Thanks. Most of the 2200s, 2300s, plus 8906 and 8914 I remember seeing in HP this summer, although 2378 has been missing for a long time. Hanging onto 27 buses seems a bit much, compared to what I saw on the road.
i8itall4u
Spotted 6221 working the 352 Saturday night and 6232 on the 349 this morning.
rotjohns
Spotted 6221 working the 352 Saturday night and 6232 on the 349 this morning. Both of those buses are out now according to Webwatch and on top of that, there are only 6 2400s showing up. I didn't know 6221 & 6232 were moved from west. The 2400s are likely on their way out. rotjohns
6635 is now at South. Am I late on this? Not from what I am seeing because according to another thread, that was one of the former Academy buses that was unassigned until now. MetroShadow
I saw the Orion I's that were outstationed at Lake-Cook move back to NS last Friday. 2285 and some 2300 to be exact.
PACE NORTHWEST
2601 moved from Aurora to Niles. It's on the 411.
Busjack
2601 moved from Aurora to Niles. It's on the 411. Confirmed on Webwatch: In a related development, Webwatch hasn't shown any bus on route 471. I have my suspicions, but will have to wait (probably until Friday) to check them out. qwantae
6635 is now at South. Am I late on this? Yeah, I've been seeing for couple months now that I spotted few West's 6200s on South Routes. I believe 6635 has been at South for awhile, and I can see why I see alot of 6600s on Rt#307. Maybe they traded for send some 6600s to West for some 40-foot buses (6200s) to replace some 2400s.
rotjohns
Yeah, I've been seeing for couple months now that I spotted few West's 6200s on South Routes. No, don't think so. Looking at Webwatch this morning/evening, there are still a ton of 6600s at South and still at least 10 2400s. As bad of shape those buses are, they are not likely to go anywhere until either the new buses arrive or there is some sort of changes in routing that frees up buses. I'd bet on the former as opposed to the latter. Plus, a few 6200s are also on the 877 and 888 currently. So they have to keep the 2400s for now. Busjack
... Plus, a few 6200s are also on the 877 and 888 currently. So they have to keep the 2400s for now. The person who tipped us off about the existing 6900s going to Heritage and the leased ones being spares or going to South probably isn't here to answer us anymore, but the main thing I have noticed on Webwatch is that 6910-6912, 6914-6915*, have shown up on 877 and 878, but apparently no more than one or two at a time, and the balance are 6200s and 6600s. That hits me as strange. Anyway, having to divert NABIs to these two routes indicates why South has more of them. ______ *I assume no 6913, and it is not clear whether there are 6908-6909, or the series started over at 6910. Busjack
Thanks I put the change on the pace roster page. I had #6608 formerly at West in case anyone interested. Busjack
2635 on route 226. 2600 is back at the Fox Valley Garage. In connection with what might be moved from Aurora, 2601 now appears in Niles:
