I think he was asking what 6253 and 6255 replacing at West.  6701 and 6702  probably  replaced the NABIs at NS.

I was figuring that that should have taken care of NABIs at NS, except I don't know about the effect of moving 2704 to FV.

#6235 is still at NS, but don't know if it's in working condition.  It's been parked outside the garage for the last week or two.

Outside the garage is a bad sign (at least when the 2390s were there) and it hasn't been on WebWatch in a while. Only ones were 6255 and 6258, and they showed up at W, including today.

Based on the inventory, the only other one in similar limbo is 6256.

#2705 is now at FV from NS.  Saw it yesterday on Route 722.  I'm starting to wonder whether some early #2600s at FV are retiring or they're on the move somewhere.  I don't see the logic as to why #2704-2705 (and presumably #2706 eventually) would head to FV.

Probably explains, though, why NS got 6782. Might also have to do with the mysterious inventory entries that 6701 and 6702 were assigned to FV, but ended up at NS.

For the most part, the low 2600s are the oldest, most used and have the most mileage on them. The budget and the upcoming procurements list both say that 30 foot buses are to be acquired, and since N is ruled out, I suppose that FV would be first.

I know I'm very late, but it's official:  #2706 is now at FV.

Probably time to look closely at the early #2600s that stay consistently out of service in the coming weeks to find out if any of them might be retired.  You don't make this kind of a move unless there's increased service, more routes, or buses reach the end of it's useful life.  A big telling clue is if #2704-2706 are out a lot as well as the #2826-2829 and the #2670s and #2680s that FV has.  Since the chance of them being moved appear nil (unless Ravinia?), retirement seems to be the only logical conclusion.

Aside from the NABIs listed as Ravinia on the March 2018 inventory, they're too small for that service. HP already has 10 if they would have worked for that. They were used on occasion, but no way they could handle the waiting crowds at the downtown Metra lots.

So far on Webwatch, no sign of 2611, 2612, 2618, 2623, 2624, 2625, and 2628.  3 notes of interests that may make me backtrack on the above:

1. #2826-2829 are also not out at the moment.

2.  I really thought more buses would not be out from this list, but the more I think about it, Route #532 #534, #676 and #685 do not put buses out there at least 5pm.  That's 6 buses not accounted for (1 each for 532/534 and 2 each for 676/685).

With 6784 and 6785 now at West, 6706 has also moved from River to West. A few additional 6700s that are already on Pace property, and most of the forthcoming new buses (projected to be numbered in the upper 6700s and the 6800s), are expected to be (re)assigned to West as the last of the 2003 NABIs get retired.

Hmm so they are getting more Axess. I thought the contract was exhausted. The nabis are caught in a hard working garage probably they are petering out slowly but surely. I can see why north gets the old stuff.

It apparently was at 6786 at NW. Look at the inventory.

@RJL6000 was further referring to the outstanding solicitation, which, for what we know, might result in Novas, but probably will not.

On a related point, while one can't prove a negative, 6666 appears to be the only 35 foot bus out this morning.

6703 has recently made the move from  R to W. It was on the 606 this past Tuesday. Tonight, it was on the 307.

I wonder if R will be short on 606 and 616 Monday, or other chess pieces move.

Not a move, but also a bit strange was that SW had 6386 on 895 Thursday. Might only be filling in for a shortage, or maybe we are miscalculating where S may be sending its highway buses.
