Why?  So 77th can run the brand new buses in the ground like they did the 7900s?  Historically this happens to every fleet of new buses that go to 77tg.  You can blame the drivers for bad driving.  You can blame the passengers for tearing up the interior. You can blame maintenance for not keeping up with the problems caused by the other two.  You can even blame the city for not fixing the streets.   But the last one is a citywide problem,  yet 77th buses are always the most beat up.

But I'm sure 77th will eventually see some more 8350s added to their fleet.  North Park is not likely to get any Novas at least for the foreseeable future.

Bro they all get beat up all the above from drivers from the people & maintenance & the crooked city not fixing the streets I say drivers also cause we stomp the hell out of the buses we only drive them for 4 hours get on lunch & get another bus also when you got like 5 different people driving you a day 5 different driving styles you would be up also like the bus I got yesterday that driver is a slow driver when when late af but me I'm heavy footed so you know what that means

You're definitely right on that, what's more interesting is that the fleet of #7900s we have been right around the 240-300k mile range there is a few outliers in that though with less than 200k miles and seem to run better than most. Nonetheless, a lot them are beat up and to my biggest is with them is that dang suspension, retarder, brakes and overheating exhaust. Everyone so far that I've talked with about #8405 is they love how smooth it runs and the braking system is similar to the #1000s. As always new buses run smooth but give them a few years and I bet they'll be like the current fleet we have now.

Ngl 77th should assign more of these, I like these. The 7900s you guys have can be shipped off somewhere else.

I'd rather get assigned every #1000 from FG instead of taking this next batch of 30 #8450s.

Is it possible that another garage will start receiving new buses starting with 8500?  With 8500 - 8649, it's possible for two garages to get 75 buses each or less likely that three garages get 50 each.  I expect two garages with one being either 77th or 74th and one being a West Side garage ( C or K).
