from an industrial area to a mall back to an industrial area. What forward thinking planners we have. 😆

To be fair I don't think anyone was expecting online shopping to sweep in so quick. Of course COVID was the nail in the coffin making everyone prefer to stay in

Yeah, I can't fault them, just chuckling at how everything panned out.

I also don't think we needed a Ford aircraft defense plant after 1946.😅

Nothing too major, but seems the #43 43rd Street bus is having a slight change in its route going into effect this upcoming Sunday, with westbound buses ending on 41st/Halsted (via Root, Halsted, 41st, Emerald, and back EB on Root) instead of ending at 42nd Pl/Halsted.

I guess with the recent construction of residential homes they want to remove the noise pollution from that area. The last thing CTA wants is complaint of idling buses in front homes with passengers waiting on the side of the homes. I wonder how the seniors will adapt to the change.

Quick question, in 15 days the #93 will  officially become a 7-day bus route. Will this make #93 the first known CTA bus route in the system to have daily service operating through Evanston?

I know there’s the #97 but as far as running through Evanston, it only runs through it on Dodge between Howard & Oakton and on Oakton between Dodge & McCormick, right?

First is hard to say, since it's not clear if there were any in the 1970s, but the Evanston local media say that it is the first on the west side.

Your other comment depends on how you consider Howard Street, as the WB 97's Clever Device announces Evanston cross streets. But, clearly no bus serves downtown Evanston on Sunday now, just the L.

Interesting that it will still loop via 32nd and Central Park, but most of the stops have been eliminated.

It’s not, just simply just a showing of its “regular” (current) routing before next Sunday when all trips will just continue west of Lawndale on 31st to the Komensey/31st terminal.

Thanks. That's what I originally figured. I guess I missed the shading on the lines.
