#6710 was randomly awoke earlier today at around 11:00. They’re probably draining the fluids on this bus or something but idk why was it on. @YoungBusLovershould know if he’s available.

Well in years past SS mechanics would drain fluids and run the buses until they seized up and shut off. That may be a wrong assumption though.

I was thinking of that too, they’ll sometimes leave them running for a little while until the engine cuts off for good.

@Mr.NewFlyer1051 #6710 has been in the boneyard since April of 2021, Hasn't been moved from that spot in over a year. I'm surprised it's still running at this point.

Yea since last March since they put em out of service again

Yeah, first Covid did a beat down on the old novas in 2020 which result them being pulled OOS to receive new shields, next in 2021 #6860’s fire nearly pulled the rope with almost all being retired, luckily a few #6800’s have returned to service. In 2022 #6838, #6847 and #6875 were reported in the boneyard officially retired in May which is a sign the end is getting closer and closer day by day.

I was very close to typing "It's Over" (and referring in lyrics from Boz Scaggs).

But it's not over. Buses 6843, 6859, 6865, 6869, and 6870 are operating today [7 July 2022]. ?

I'll spare you the Lenny Kravitz lyrics. ?

Lmaooo. But still we all have to take advantage and get your last pictures and final rides in before the new 8350s gets closer to be in service.

Yeah it's the final frontier with these 6800s. I would love to see them last long enough before the Fall Pick starts on the 22nd of August.
