Looks like forest glen is mostly finished up with the farebox installation at this point, I haven’t seen a bus with the old farebox down at FG for two weeks now.

FG has been done with the installation for about a week now. #1059 was the last bus to get the fareboxes equipped.

Not really a move, but the particular bus deployment in question is traditionally unusual for the following route. I've noticed over the last several weeks that Kedzie has been rolling artics out on 126 weekday runs to the degree that route is now regularly half to slightly majority artic operated on weekdays. I had the the thought that perhaps three Westside CPS high schools sitting at or near Jackson Blvd played into this in some way. But this deployment pattern has been in play from morning to well into the evening. So, I'm wondering if something else has gone into this current assignment pattern.

I'm currently looking into that myself but from I've been able to observe over the past several weeks it may have something to do with overall proximity of the artics in relation to the garage. Now the 126 isn't a short route by any means. However, with the #4000s being at the age they're at currently one could argue to limit them to local routes that run fairly close to the garage since they're predominantly used on LSD runs outside of the 21/82. Cutting down on the wear and tear seems smart to put them out there for the tike being.

Yesterday I observed an article going westbound on Congress near Central Park.   I thought it was strange  but based on what you said, it may have been running the 7 or 126.  I wouldn't think either route would be artic worthy but if K is short of 40 ft buses,  why not run the artics rather than have them sit in the garage?  The 12 also has a mix of 40 fr and 60 ft buses.
