#1229 was involved in accident this past week and will be out for a while. A few windows on the drivers side of are torn off. A few more #1000s have popped up in the boneyard but rather than giving out numbers I'll just showcase what is there so everyone can see for themselves.

Dang that’s a lot of #1000’s awaiting maintenance. Hopefully SS doesn’t continue to get piled on with all these OOS buses

Wow I still can't believe the body of an old Americana is still sitting down there almost 20 years after those old girls' retirement.

So after finally doing some digging I found out which bus from FG caught on fire from Last month and that bus is #1012. I overheard a rumor that it caught on fire while pulling into FG but I can't confirm that for sure.I Notice the sides and interior of the engine compartment were burned significantly. Parts of the engine itself is gone as well but not the entire block.

Hard to tell if it's gone come back since its a 06 model its at retirement age reached that age 4 years ago so its hard to tell if they will fix it

#1150,#1305,#1993 all had fires and didn't come back, #1012 was built back in late 2005 I highly doubt CTA would really want to fix that bus up especially with how old it is.

Since they said as part of the electric bus report that the 7900s (8350s) are to replace 1000s, you know where to place your money.

That is a slight big nono, especially how old it is. Remember it is a 2005 model and it is nearing 17 years old soon.
