It seems like somehow CTA historically got 20 years out of buses (1972 GMCs until 1992, 2002 Novas until 2022), but with this many boneyard buses, I don't currently see how. On a couple of occasions when CTA was short, it got buses from Pace (700s and 4915s). I know where it could pick up some low-mileage buses ?. Quote
