Those cars are on the pink right because I mistaken 5001-5002 as the first cars Delived to CTA come to find out it was 5003-5004. Also I have a image of 5001. I didnt knew this was 5001 until i looked at it a year after taking the photo.

Remember Green And Pink exchange cars and Red line used the Englewood branch so some how 5049-5050 landed on the red line tracks from the Green Line

Yeah true that Pink & Green borrow cars.  Originally 5001-5050 are assigned to 54th Yard.  Now that 5049-50 is on the Red Line though, I feel like soon if exchanges continue Pink will be getting Blue interior cars.

This definitely is happening to even out mileage on these cars.

That might be true with pink getting Blue interiors but it might not be cuz pink and green are still exchanging cars 5001-5002 are on Green Still and 5005-5006 and Green and red  are doing they own thing with switching cars cuz some 5600’s are on the Green

The more blue interiored cars Green gets, Pink will eventually get them in the long run.  That's given they exchange cars.

I saw a 5000-Series Blue Line going to UIC on 8/8. Are they going to be on the Blue Line now?
(They also need to be on the Orange Line, BADLY)

There are 2 sets of 5000s that run in the a.m. rush and one set that runs in the p.m. rush.  These trains originate from the Pink Line Yard.  They deadhead to the Blue Line Racine station.  From there they run Blue Line service to Jefferson Park.  From there the train turns back and runs Blue Line service from Jefferson Park to  Racine.  From there the train deadheads back to the Pink Line Yard.  These cars are assigned to the Pink Line, they have Pink Line run numbers, and they are operated by Pink Line operators.

Unfortunately, because of long neglected upgrades, the Blue Line power cant handle a fleet of 5000s

Are at least 7000's going to go to the Blue Line?

Because the 2600's will be retired, some 3200's...

CTA is currently working on the power upgrades between O'Hare and downtown.  The upgrades should be completed by the time the 7000s are slated to arrive in 2021.  As for the Forest Park branch, I don't know if that is a power issue or a weight issue or both with the 5000s, as the track condition is terrible.   A complete rebuild of that branch is necessary.   However,  CTA is trying to wait on IDOT to determine how it will reconstruct the Eisenhower Expressway  to coordinate reconstruction of the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line.   That could possibly include an extension to Manheim Rd in Hillside.

To add to that, CTA President Dorval Carter said at the most recent board meeting that the Forest Park branch is a priority but will be worked on last.
