BusHunter
That's really odd and questionable why they didn't just fully rehab it. It's not mechanical either I checked. Oh BTW, 74th is going gangbusters on these new clever device positions. #1574, #1752 and I think #1143 all have them now. Another thing weird I saw yesterday on #1644 on the #60. When the bus made a service stop the kneeling would automatically go to a max kneel completely tilting the bus like it had a suspension issue. Well when the bus finished it's stop the kneeling would not raise and the bus was driven like that until a few bumps or air pressure built back up on that side on the suspension. It seemed really weird and took the bus to mid block of the next block to fix itself. Didn't seem like the operator had any control over it. That was freakin' strange!! It felt like one of these low riders with the tilting suspensions.
BusHunter
#1171 is rehabbed on the #52 but the beeping sound the bus makes when it kneels is beeping nonstop.

jajuan
Just saw #1607 deadheading from 95th. It don't have the ADA signs on the front seats. #1819 is not rehabbed. I can't really remember the last time I've seen newer rehabs with updated ADA seat inserts. And it's weird that they're popping up on buses not yet rehabbed. sw4400
Got #1947 on the #9 today... couldn't help but notice the dash panel. A little text was lit up and I think it's serious enough to warrant pulling this bus in until serviced. ABS Fail I think seeing a sign like that is something pretty serious, because if that's not sensors acting up, that means the brakes are weaker than usual and may take longer to stop the bus in an emergency. BusHunter
A nice shot of #1507 @ State/Madison. I was gonna say you are filming me again while on the bus!!?? But you just missed me this time I was up by State/Lake. You'll be happy to hear that bus doesn't have the ADA signage either on the seats. Oh and #1607 would you believe the rear number "6" decal has just about came off. All that's left is the curve at the top of the 6. A two day old bus, three today but I saw it yesterday on the #28.

I'm telling you man, we're going to end up bumping heads towards one another one day! I indeed saw the non-existence of the ADA signage. About the "6" nearly falling off on #1607, that should tell you that these last few rehabbed buses had been nothing but a rush job. That's just my opinion. Oh by the way, my shot should be on Google Maps under State/Madison bus stop section soon.
pudgym29
I searched this thread. I didn't see any note of this. Bus 2019 has been rehabbed and is in service on Chicago garage routes.
BusHunter
I searched this thread. I didn't see any note of this. Bus 2019 has been rehabbed and is in service on Chicago garage routes. Some more interesting stuff from Chicago garage. #1062 is released from south shops on the #53 and #1914 is released from south shops on the #65. #2003 on the #20 might be worth looking at also, since they seem to be rehabbing the lower #2000's at Chicago. garmon757
Rehabbed: None Sighted Getting rehabbed: #1070 #1599 #1686 (Note saying "Do Not Sand Front End") #1872 #1955 (upgrading to fully rehabbed) and 11 unknown inside the shop Awaiting for rehab: None Sighted Questionable for rehab preparation or out of service: #1040 #1111 (if it's fully rehabbed) #1146 #1211 #1213 #1220 #1246 #1363 #1523 #1726 #1727 #1835 #1990 Other Notes: Update on #1468: So far it's looking good. I'm trying to figure out if they did a paint job on it and if they placed the new tail lights. It was already confirmed it had the Ventra reader but also, it has a tag on the steering wheel (that's a good sign). It should be in the rehab process hopefully soon.
