I'm curious to see if they go with the squashed text format or abbreviations The destination signs are still the same as are the names on the bus stop signs. But when the bus pulls up and the doors open, Mr CTA announces the new route names.
NewFlyerMCI
Anyone think that fare-free pilot that just got extended in Boston could happen here? If so, which 3 routes would you like to see? And which 3 would be most plausible?

Another would be the 54B South Cicero, but only on days they race at Hawthorne. It used to be that at 47th & 55th, half the passengers got on at the back door to go to the track. The third would be the 22 Clark, but only because so many young people who use their phones or a Ventra account to pay, never have enough money on their phones or accounts & then spend forever trying to add the money. Why they can't do that before they leave the house or before bedtime is baffling?

Why they can't do that before they leave the house or before bedtime is baffling? Either they miscalculated what is in their account or CTA got them. I remember once my first driver had me retap my Ventra card. I then proceeded with my ride and next two rides. The following day I just happened to check my balance and discovered it was lower than it should have been. Turns out that the initial tap did go through but my driver said it didn't and I was charged two fares. I quickly got that squared away with CTA and they credited me for the extra fare. If this experiment were to happen in Chicago, I would use it on the South side Green Line and the Pink Line. I know the experiment is for bus routes but I think this could be useful to grow ridership on lightly used lines. As far as bus routes go, I would puck the 28. How many people would switch to the 28 from the heavy 6? I'm not sure about Boston 's purposes, but I think it should stimulate ridership as opposed to giving free rides on very crowded routes that might become even more crowded

Honorable mentions, 30, 44, 124 could be free just to start encouraging more use of it as the BRT circulator poster child as it's been on and off hinted as Cta wanting it to be. Not to mention the slight shortcut it takes around river north traffic into the loop could take some weight off the 29 from everyone getting on east of Fairbanks. 29 can just run express from state to Navy Pier between that and 65 being there. No, they didn't miscalculate, they're just too interested in something on their phones! Probably telling everyone they've friended on that evil app [you know which one], what they had for breakfast. And 90% of them are young women who never put their phones down.

Bus1883
Coming of the Dan Ryan exit towards 75th when I was on my way back home. #1103 was involved in some sort of incident. There were expressway tow trucks, CPD units and CFD trucks at the scene must have been a shooting.
