Exactly. That’s three routes that’ll likely need 3-4 buses each (53, 54B, 79), and one for two-three buses (67) in order to reduce layover congestion at the other side of their respective terminals…

Even though 12 is frequent it's really the only route that has the infrastructure to help artics (bus lanes, multiple lanes) especially since 151 is only getting rush hour help from K now. Basically from what I've seen, they all pretty much have been getting parked since the start of this current winter pick and the 12's addition to the Frequent Bus Network. Even on weekdays, I haven't really seen K put artics on these two outside of a few stragglers. K seems to now focus using them on weekdays for the 125, 134, 143 (looks like primarily the AM runs these days as PM service has seen heavier 40 ft coverage), 156 and what few 151 short runs it still has left. Weekends they now appear to just give their artics a rest. Seems to be an extra step they added outside of the mileage swaps to preserve the mileage on the artics they presently have.

I think part of the reason why 47th was chosen is the area is safer than 67th. Also there's a bathroom there at 47th for drivers to use. It's still a one seat ride on the 28 to 103rd. 1
