C still shares the a.m. rush trips of the 12 with K for example. Plus there's still the a.m. 7/K and p.m. C/K splits on 120, 121 and 125. That's a rock and a hard place as far asoving routes from those two. Only thing you can do is move #35 from K to 77th or 74th. Now C is basically pulled into helping K in making up for A and Limits being gone and THEY themselves have a serious work load going for them as well with them having 66, 72, 53 and soon 74 on FBN so who knows we may slightly return to sharing to some degree if CTA can't come up on a new garage soon On 5/7/2026 at 10:10 AM, artthouwill said: I know CTA has gotten away from route sharing, but a NP/103rd split f the 10 could work if the unissued is artics. K should have plenty of artics since they're only doing rush #151 work and there's the surplus. Also NP wouldn't work cause of reliefs at least 103rd drivers can just take #28. Even 77th has the red line to relieve it at State/Van Buren like K does vs the Blue Line (plus it helped on #10 on the past) Quote

Yeah but #10 probably uses 5-7 buses with the extension, K is AM heavy and the #10 starts after rush hour so that along with #151 no longer being there should help but again #10 never had them for more than a few weeks at a time. If anything since #10 is midday the issue might be trying to fit #10 in after adding more off peak service to 12, 60 and 82 Quote

Someone also mentioned that maybe 35 should go back to 77th from K. That'sthe onlyreasonImentionedthat a P/103rd splitcouldbean idea. So I guess this time the signs are gonna function like the #100 (10 Express to Water Tower or MSI & Obama Ctr?) vs the what it used to and the 124/130 current do? Quote

TaylorTank1229 Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 Does anyone know why the 10 isn’t appearing on the bus tracker? Like, it’s in the route selection but no trips are showing. Quote

Like, it’s in the route selection but no trips are showing. The #10 was appearing earlier this week I guess they're reconfiguring the route on the tracker before the new pick goes into effect. I saw #10s running all week along with instruction buses from K showing operators the new line extension and where to layover for it. So it appears K will be taking on the ownership for the summer until the System and Fall picks happening later on this summer. Quote

Funny thing though is that the tracker wasn't tracking any of the buses the first several days. So my observations were all actual in person sightings. 1 Quote
jajuan Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 Oh I forgot to mention that so far I have not seen artics roll out on the 10. In all my observations so far, there were only 40 foot buses out. Though history has shown that on busy weekends, K has sent out artics instead of 40 footers. We'll just have to see what happens after the Obama Center officially opens on the 19th. 3 Quote
EasyMoney Posted June 9 Report Posted June 9 To answer our question yes Kedzie is using Artics on the #10 seen bus (4006) while operating the 6 today Quote

Yesterday the mirror came off of 8883 on LSD and they switched buses to 1114, now today it appears 8643 broke down and there was no replacement for that Quote

EasyMoney Posted June 22 Report Posted June 22 This is pure speculation I haven’t seen a Artic on the 10 since 6/8 maybe cta thinks since the (6 Jackson park express) is a Artic route and it goes rite in front of the Obama library maybe putting a Artic on the 10 isn’t a priority I noticed a lot of 6 runs are getting more Artics the run I have today usually doesn’t pull out one but since the opening of the Obama library I been pulling a Artic out of the garage on the 6 Quote

jajuan Posted August 20 Report Posted August 20 With the 10 now being year-round daily service and the 35 set to become part of FBN starting Sunday, it makes me wonder if K losing buses in the fall every year has become a thing of the past. Quote
