In the past couple of hours I've seen at 3 break downs while on the 2 this evening

This is like 5 buses being towed tonight, 1955, 1239, 1173, 4315, and 7947. How crazy is that

Buses aren't always necessarily towed, some can have there issues fixed once maintenance arrives, if the situation is a little more complex to the point where the bus is inoperable then a wrecker will come get it.

Oh I didn’t know that but that’s cool. I remember a pace bus being repaired at its breakdown spot last year .

Sometimes theyll come crawling in if they can make it. We had a bus mess up last week in oak lawn. It wouldnt go past 5 mph. It limped into the garage with a police escort on south lagrange.

Yeah I had a similar issue last summer on 43rd all the buses on that street were having issues and I had #7920 with engine issues. The bus itself wouldn't go past 20 mph so supervision instructed me to take State street back to the garage. Took a while to get there but I made it. The transmission itself was jumping out of gear so bad I thought I was going to stall out a few times. They initially asked me if I could take the expressway back and I told I would be a sitting duck if I even tried to knowing how bad a shape the bus was in.
