Anyways……. another thursday of moves, 8206, 8209-8210, 8220 to North Park in return for 1548, 8829-8830, 8832 to Forest Glen

The 8350s going to FG in return for 7900s is interesting, I wouldn’t be surprised if C sent the rest of its 7900s to NP in exchange for flyers.

older novas being sent over there are for the advanced bus lane camera program, they don’t wanna install cameras on the 8350’s due to the fact the windshield already has enough electrical sh*t on it and in addition adding another camera and sorts would kill the whole system therefore using older novas with nothing on the windshield works better

I expect a major shuffle to happen over the next few weeks before and after the fall pick goes into effect. 74th has been short equipment for the last several weeks and it appears that at some point the #7900s and #8350s fleets will see a bit of balancing out with the latest pilot bus lane enforcement program going on at C and NP. I expect to see C finally share the wealth in regards to the surplus of 8350s they currently have.

Looks like a 74th got some of C 8400s.

and no these are not loans before anyone says something lol, C is also expanding the bus lane camera enforcement program on the 66 Chicago so nova swaps are going on with 74th and Chicago.

I’m surprised Chicago didn’t give up flyers for novas because an transfer normally give up novas for flyers it’s been happening every pick

it all depends on what’s requested in return.

The latest round of Nova swaps between Chicago and 74th Garages is purely some buses numbered in the 8400s and 8500s to 74th in exchange for some of the 8100s Chicago sent to 74th some time ago. The lowest number of the ones transferred to 74th was 8412; the highest seems to be 8568.

This the head count so far of #8350s that have been moved to 74th, I'm not sure how many more 74th will get once they stop receiving loans from 77th.

1. #8359 2. #8412 3. #8413 4. #8418 5. #8423 6. #8425 7. #8427 8. #8429 9. #8430 10. #8470 11. #8504 12. #8547 13. #8552 14. #8554 15. #8568

At some point those 8000s should be off loaded to other garages to help balance out the fleets a bit more. I wouldn't expect C and 103rd have a higher threshold of #8350s that much longer going into mid 2027.

I’m assuming those are transfers due to 74th lost 81s that went to C but eventually C might lose more 8350s as time goes on
