YoungBusLover
Currently the LTH/Retired head count is around 230 still. It amazes me that #1989,#1990 and #2005 have sat on the dead line at Chicago garage just about a year now without getting towed to SS. I have noticed some 1900s coming back, like 1977 was out from April until July and is back running again, maybe they are being repaired. Erin Mishkin Jr.
Unknown status or location of the following buses (have been out for over a month): 1667(at SS, status is unknown) 1675(pretty sure it is in the boneyard but no sighting of it yet), 1687/1688, 1700, 1709(at SS, status is unknown), 1774, 1786(at SS, status is unknown), 1791 (at SS, but was in the same spot for over a month), 1824(at SS, status is unknown), 1834(at SS without farebox, possibly retired?), 1849(on a SS block on 7/3), 1905(at SS, status is unknown), 1910(at SS, status unknown), 1927(at SS, seems to have a dead engine), 1951, 1955(at SS in line with 1791 and 1927), 1994(not seen since February), 2017(at SS next to 8381), and 2025(ik it's coming back as it has been under repairs for some time) What is back after sending this message: 1688 is active with a broken tracker just like 1851 2025 has been successfully repaired and on the road 8/8/2024 2017 and 1786 are officially retired on LTH/

One thing of which I'm pretty sure...the 1100 with the Endeavor Health wrap isn't going back to 103rd soon. 😏 Especially since it was (at one time or another) on #93, which goes by Swedish Hospital, or #201, which goes by Evanston Hospital..

Any status on 1824 or 1667, i saw those in early June at the south fence, but have somehow disappeared. Are those permanently retired or awaiting maintenance or did those 2 units disappear? Maths22's tracker does show tracking data for it being on 148 on 8/29 as you initially noted, for what looks like one trip based on the time duration. It then shows up again out of North Park the next morning, on a 146 block that started out as a 152 and then became a 146 for a short duration before ending up back at the garage. That was the last time it was in service. So looks like it got released for service for about a day and then winded up right back down at SS in the boneyard. It was hiding behind 1885 so they would have had to move 1885 to get 1854 out of SS. So what I believe what happened was another bus that was out of service for some time got 1854's tracker but they did not renumber it so it tracked as 1854, but the 1854 number did not track for a week.
