#1798 was released from south shops this morning on the #134. Also I noticed yesterday #1719 is back in service. That might be rehabbed. Also #1714 is back out on the #35. That was at NP. I took it off their to do list and gave it to Kedzie.

I checked my rehab list and it says #1714 was already rehabbed? So I took it back off Kedzie. I need to cross reference that info now and make sure if it is rehabbed or not.

I've added #1502 back on the roster as mechanically rehabbed. BusHunter, #1032 has been rehabbed for a while now. You still have it on your non-rehabbed roster. #1812 is now Chicago's thanks to the "C" on the windshield despite being at the shop.

Thanks, I see now I had the right date but the info never got to the other list. Probably all these #1600's at Chicago need to be checked to see if their rehabbed. Chicago's been going gangbusters rehabbing them lately. Plus the ex Kedzie buses at NP are all suspected of rehabs. #1719 probably is and #1710 hasn't been in service. Probably either at the shop or Cummins. The only bus I can really say that's not fully rehabbed for sure out of those are #1693 and #1697. Thought #1408 might have been rehabbed, but it's not. It's the last low #1400 at np not rehabbed along with #1395 being the only high #1300 not done. I'd be interested to see what happened with all these #1800 Kedzie buses in the #1826 - #1812 range that are not rehabbed yet. If some didn't go to Chicago, there must be a reason. (at the shops or already rehabbed)

#1267 that was at south shops is back in service.

Well said. Speaking of #1812, it's on #20 right now but it's not rehabbed in which I find that very interesting.

Quick question, Do #1000 - #1929 have the same transmission shift patterns because a mass majority sound similar to me for what ever reason. I ask that because before the rehabs they had 3 distinct patterns or at least some did. I know Cummins ISM and ISL are the two engines in #1000-#1929 but they're different shift patterns seemed to have morphed together as one after the rehabs took place.

All before rehabs

#1 Mainly lower #1000's

To answer your question without the need to hear all your video clips, the differences you heard is because 1000-1929 have ZF transmissions while 1930-2029 were equipped with Allison B400 transmissions. The speed the operator drives the bus also plays a part. One final gear shift progression is rarely heard because most 1000s are operated on local routes and surrounding traffic limits how fast a bus might move. Most of the time you'd need to be on a NF 1000 running on a Lake Shore express route on its express zone during light LSD traffic to hear that final progression.

That doesn't seem to answer his question, though, since he said that the ZFs used to have 3 different patterns.

There also seems to be several types of Cummins engines (i.e. smaller ones on 1630 and up), but that's the extent of my expertise.
