Last night at 3AM I was at SS, saw #8352 with 3 other buses over on the side of the garage. Isn't that where they put buses that's going out? Also spotted #8356 on the 79th fence.

They've been there since Thursday night. One of them was left on for whatever reason which I found odd. The reason they're sitting there is because they have limited space on the fence.

Not my photos but #8381 is in Erie, Pennsylvania. I guess the delivery transporter runner is staying at the hotel before making there long journey to Chicago.

Yeah he’s gotta keep that log on point. 10 hours drive time.

I can imagine them having to stop and get gas for the buses. But the best key is that fuel tanks are installed on all transit buses which can help them get through long trips. If they get hungry they can stop and get something to eat after they park the bus and then hit the road again.

I need to do some research on this

Most CDL transportation companies are required to have ELDs on board their vehicles.  ELDs are electronic Log Devices.  They are designed so that drivers can't falsify logs when they exceed drive time and hours of duty.  I dont know if there is a place to install them on transit buses.   While logging in fareboxes can account for a lot of hours on duty, street reliefs may not be accounted for.  In the past, transit agencies were exempt from keeping driver logs.

However since these hikers go over the road, it would be in their best interest to have an ELD with them.  It's possible that these hikers transport Prevost buses as well as Novas.

Most of the time dispatch will calculate the mileage and let the drivers know where they need to rest.  The driver might pick the hotel, but it seems like Erie is the standard place to layover for trips to Chicago from Plattsburgh.

So there’s a few companies out there that offer a eld on a tablet. When I was over the road we used Samsung tablets that logged you with the detection of motion. It also gives them the ability to log on duty not driving time as they deadhead back to NY. The company I worked for would sometimes send us to Vermont/Canada border or into Quebec to pick up new Prevost. We had to log the flight there as well as the drive home.

That makes total sense.   With a tablet all that's needed is a USB port and a power adapter.

That's good, I guess it was a 80s and instead of a 70s I assumed was sitting next to #8378 the other night.

#8372 or #8373 should be here, if it’s official then this will be 26 total. Credit goes to @YoungBusLover

We should be looking for some movement soon.  I would think that by months end these buses will show up at another garage and enter service.  Of course there's a chance they stay at 77th ( for the conspiracy theorists).

I think they are going to start at 7 since 7 is the golfen chicld I thibk they should go to FG but thats the stepchild so 7 gone start with those & send the raggedy 7900's to 6 till they get new buses then they will start heading west

I highly doubt that. I haven't seen any indication of that as of yet. What I do find strange though is FG and K have gained #7900s from C.

Not necessarily strange. It looks like SS is sitting on maybe 12 600s that should have gone to C by now, plus whatever number of 8350s (30?) reported here. What's the hangup?
